The room was clean and the envirnment was peaceful. It's an older motel with character, a nice departure from the chain motels.
AC was not fully operable , stayed with two children under the age of 5. Beds were horrible , room was dirty, staff was horrible . I advised the staff that that AC was not working and they said they could not do anything for me even after I told them I had two children with me .
We only stayed a night but I was a bit taken aback by the condition of the room. It was old ad needed quite a few repairs and updating. When I booked the hotel in only had two stars and I am also only giving it two stars. But the receptionist was very pleasant and the beds were actually very comfortable. If you can look past the need for repairs I think it's a decent nights stay, although we paid a bit much for what we got.
I never felt the room was not clean, tho it is a little dated. Definitely a good deal for the price.
Horrible motel. This is not a resort. Rusted appliances, moldy bathrooms, dirty towels/sheets. The front door didn't even close properly. Came down during spring break with my family, all of the keys were booked, I asked for a refund and they offered to kick us out. with bo other place available I was stuck in the dumpy location. Do not waste your time with this place. Also no smoke alarm in the main bedroom/kitchenette
We stayed for one night. The first room they gave us had mold and the smell was over whelming. They changed the room which was better. The A/C was noisy and kept turning on & off, which was very annoying. The room next to us had their TV very loud and they were yelling and screaming at 1:30 in the morning. There were no hand towels, TV remote did not have volume control, and the free coffee was no more than colored water.
We have just returned from a relaxing stay at Kingsail Resort. The staff were friendly and courteous, helped with anything we needed. Housekeeping was there every day to freshen the room and kept us in fresh towels, warm from the dryers. The area is nice and quiet with the dock just a few feet away from our room. The beds were comfortable with several pillows for you to choose your favorite. Bathroom newly remodeled was a nice plus. Only thing I would add is an in room hair dryer as we did not bring one. We would definitely stay again.
My best friend and I stayed here for 2 nights instead of paying the high prices to stay in Key West. This is a great location between Miami and Key West. If you're in the area check out sunset grill near the Seven Mile Bridge. I appreciated our screened in patio and the beds were super comfy! Our room had a kitchenette in it but we didn't use it. The bathroom was spacious. Overall the room was bright and moderately comfortable. The only thing housekeeping did during our stay was make the bed. Apparently they are supposed to wipe off counters but she did not do that for us. The front desk staff was super helpful and had good suggestions on where we could go to find what we were looking for. I'd stay here again if the price was the same. This is certainly not Marriott standards but is a good value for the money.
This was the second time I stayed here in three months and the second time was even better then the first. It's where I'll always stay when I'm in the area.
We got there early evening for a quick visit to Marathon. Check in was a breeze. We loved how quiet and clean the unit was. My wife, youngest daughter and I relaxed by the dock as we planned our day in Marathon. Next visit to Marathon will definitely be a longer stay here.
We arrived 1 day early to the Keys and needed somewhere to stay for 1 night. It was a great surprise at a very reasonable price. We could have stayed there the entire 9 days we were there. It was tucked away-on this little inlet. Screened in front porch, pool to room, quiet,, food across the street. Nice!
Exactly what we were looking for. Very clean. Spacious.
We stayed here on our way to Key West from Miami. Overpowering smell of bleach when we arrived. Beds were comfortable, but accommodations basic but clean. Okay for a quick overnight. Checked in after front desk closed, so we had no interaction with staff.
This hotel is not as good as I think before, they change my room type without notice.Four of us have to sleep in on room so it is not comfortable for us.Point is we pay for two rooms money. There is no other room available that day.I will not trust this hotel and not choose this hotel in the future.I am waiting for the 30 discount which has not received.
Hotel staff disorganized and rude. All except the handyman. He was friendly.
The hotel is close to the road but very quiet. Located just in front of a typical restaurant, The Wooden Spoon, where we an awesome breakfast. The bungalow was clean, beds are comfy, and the staff nice and efficient. A good place to stay.
We liked this place. It's very simple and bare, but spacious and clean. There is a living room with kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, and closet. We stopped here on the way to Key West. Great bang for the buck. There is also a boat launch in the parking lot. It's nothing fancy, but it has everything you need. No breakfast. Internet is unreliable.
Our experience was very positive. I was pleasantly surprised since the rate was one of the cheapest ones I found. Room was roomy, clean, and very comfortable. Location was wonderful!! Close to Bahia Honda Park which was the reason we decided to drive down, and only an hour away from Key West which we also visited since it was so close. Great breakfast diner right across the street. Thinking about going back in a few weeks with my other sons.
We were pleasantly surprised it was more like the professional pictures than some of the reviews we saw. We had two rooms, a king bed in the first with fridge, microwave, dishes etc., (like a hotel room). The second had two double beds (all very comfy beds btw), a small bathroom and a large closet. Our bedding was all white and very clean. Both rooms had tvs. The hotel is older so there were some things less than perfect which you would expect. The bathroom was clean and the shower was clean even in corners which im happy about because that would have bothered me. I was happy with the assistance from staff and overall was a nice stay.
The room was quaint with tile floors and all white bedding and appliances. Definitely needs work. Exterior was dilapidated and trashy...but the screened in porches are promising. Check in was frustrating as the attendant was inattentive and preoccupied with other work even though I was the only customer. Having a reservation seemed to matter little. Seems like they would want to try harder given the other options nearby.
