Right where the action starts. Exiting the hotel you get the right feeling: you feel in Malta, you feel the powerful history. Nice pool but not quite next to the hotel. You have to walk 4-5 minutes through a very lovely garden to get to the pool. The pool area is large, very nice, lounge chairs are very comfortable. View from the pool is remarkable. The Caffe Phenicia has good food and price are affordable but some customers are smoking outside while sitting at the table. Rooms are large enough and the bathrooms too.

A real classic! The hotel has an old fashioned feel with updated amenities. The infinity pool under the bastion walls is absolutely beautiful and relaxing at the end of a hot day.

We had a wonderful and relaxing stay at The Phoenicia. It is just outside the entrance to Valletta, providing a wonderful location to explore the old town and enjoy restaurants. The hotel itself is peaceful and has a great pool setup adjacent to the city walls. The hotel is recently renovated and everything is top notch, including the staff, which made for a great holiday!
The Phoenicia is a really great hotel, surrounded by a dream garden overlooking the bay and a stunning open air swimming pool. The dining room and terrace are also beautiful. The staff was super friendly and extremely helpful. The location is ideal. The room is very good, offering complimentary fruit, water & chocolate, though the superior room we stayed in was a bit small, and I would recommend a few minor changes for more comfort. The bathroom is spacious and well-equipped. The breakfast is rich, though more vegetables would be appreciated. Overall - it was a great stay in a great hotel. Thank you!
When we arrived although we had paid for a superior room with 2 beds with a nice view and a balcony on the port, we were put in a room that was just big enough to walk around the bed with the view of the parking lot and garbage cans. We were also told that there was no other room available. After an hour argument and the staff at the reception desk waking up the manager we were given a room on the 4th floor with a little window at leas looking out and with two beds put together so we agreed to take that. We also learned from our guide that the hotel was going to close down for renovation and that they did not care about clients. We decided not to sign up for breakfast as we thought it was a rip off Euros 18.50 per person. The desk also told us that if we had signed up with breakfast included when we make the reservation it would be only Euros 15.00. All in All only the location was good. The rest was very average. Also I almost forgot the fridge in the room did not work. The drinks they had in there were all warm and the temperature outside was 27 degrees Celcius!!!.
I had a pleasant stay at the Phoenicia during a few days of taking in Valletta and Malta sights.
