We had an absolutely outstanding stay at The Phoenicia Malta. From the moment we arrived, everything was handled with professionalism, warmth, and genuine attention to detail. The service is impeccable—staff are consistently friendly, helpful, and proactive, making you feel truly welcomed and cared for. The hotel is beautiful and elegant, with a timeless atmosphere and superb upkeep throughout. Our suit was spotless, comfortable, and very well-equipped, with excellent sleep quality and a relaxing vibe. Breakfast was excellent with great variety and high-quality ingredients, and the overall dining experience was impressive. The facilities are superb, and the outdoor areas are especially relaxing—perfect for unwinding after a day out. The location is also ideal: central, convenient, and close to everything, yet the hotel still feels calm and luxurious. Simply put, this hotel is excellent in everything—service, cleanliness, comfort, food, facilities, and location. Highly recommended, and we will definitely return.

The location was awesome and so close to everything! We thoroughly enjoyed the relax time by the infinity pool with an incredible view of the marina. A beautiful hotel, built in the 1940s, in the great British colonial style, like the Raffles hotel in Singapore or the Victoria Falls Hotel in Zimbabwe. The interior is elegant. The service was remarkably warm, helpful and attentive. The overall experience was outstanding, even compared to other five star hotels.

Malta is overrun with tourists, and, believe it pr not, has the worst food in Europe. It is SO bad across scores of restaurants, that it is hard to believe. Hotel placed me in a room next to a three day political rally, concert, and Independence celebration. It was incredibly loud and very crowded. They charged me $1100 dollars for a tiny room with only a tub shower. Stay here at your own risk. Not worth the time, money, or hassle. The locals say that Phoenicia was very good years ago, but Malta is a tourist trap, and I do not recommend staying anywhere near there. Also, the hotel told me food couod be ordered in the lounge, but the lounge said, sorry, we arent serving after 930 PM. Also, I was told by the staff that the music festival was "only for one night," but that was NOT true. There were no rooms they would offer me away from the loud din. Lastly, they were gracious enough to cancel my second two nights without penalty. Malta is a terrible place to visit. Go there and the Phoenicia at your own risk. Malta is a disaster destination with only two good things: 1) Caravaggio painting 2) St Paul was saved there after a shipwreck.

Beautiful property and exceptional service in a brilliant location. There is nothing I can fault. We had an Executive room with balcony and although it was quite small, it had every convenience possible. Our room (430) had views either way when on the balcony. One was the marina and the other way was the fountain. Thank you Phoenicia for a wonderful stay.

The grandeur was unique Restaurants are lovely with very good menus Palm Court lounge was very big and spacious with excellent service all Club bar was a great place to end the day Staff were very attentive Views were very good because of the elevation

Got it all !

Simply put, its one of the classic elegant properties in the heart of the old city, but peace and quite once you get into the hotel. Frequently the sounds of cannons maybe heard but added character. Rooms where lovely and we had a super view. Best food at Beef Bar as well ! Great bars and lovely pool !
