The hotel was very relaxing! They had delicious breakfast with buffet every day and a la carte. They had fooseball that I played every day! Matteo is my favorite staff because he is very kind and he brings me room service in about 10 minutes! There is: spa, Asian fusion (next door)!! Portrait Firenze is 1 of my favorite hotels! Thank you all staff for being so helpful!❤️❤️ - Mr. Geyman
Our small family stayed at the Portrait during the month of June and had a wonderful stay. In the past, we have stayed at a larger hotel, the Four Seasons, but I have to admit, the location, the service and the privacy of Portrait outweighed the location of the other hotel. We can highly recommend Portrait to others.
I’ve had the privilege of staying at some of the best hotels around the world and The Portrait ranks right up there with the best of the best. While the beautiful rooms, spectacular views of the Arno and perfect location all contribute to making the hotel one of the best, it’s the outstanding Lifestyle Team that truly make the Portrait special. They really go out of their way to make your stay comfortable, fun and special.
After seeing plenty of luxury place around the world i can honestly say that they lean among the tops . It is not only just about extravagant hotel features ( beatiful view , decoration , outstanding room ...) its expected for such concept /price .Luxury is also the culture of service that makes all the difference My personal interpretation. What impressed me the most, at portrait firenzeis this daily pursuit of execelence their biggest asset . Stuck in hong kong after a flight delay , I didnt inform the hotel about it despite that the car was still waiting for me at the airport i wrote to the hotel after the booking about specific food request due to a severe bacteria i had during my last buying trip in europe and the list was respected to the letter . During my STAY in Florence i had to attend a big fashion event at night and the concirege team booked for me the best adress for hair saloon and make up artist while i was working i didnt have to worry about anything they anticpated my needs ( just to mention few), YOU CAN ASK THEM ANYTHING AND THEY WILL TRY THEIR BEST its a daily small gestures to show how they care and this creates this special connection with thier clients Fisrt time in my life dring a buisness trip i set up my laptop in my room to work and i just ignore it I was really spoild and indulged during my stay , special thanks to the manager and his team for this wonderful stay from the minute you greet me to the farewall
We have stayed at many amazing five star hotels but this hotel tops our list. The hotel is luxurious, calm and serene with a modern hip vibe. We knew it was special when we walked in the door. There isn't a reception desk, bell stand or concierge desk. Instead your are a personally greeted by someone who is there to grant any wish. As beautiful and well appointed this hotel is it's the staff that sets it apart. The experience begins even before you arrive with emails greeting you and asking how they can help to make your stay the best it can be and they mean it too. Upon arrival they act as if they have been expecting you. We had a suite over looking the river and the view was worth the price. Whether in the restaurant or the lobby, the staff knew our name, what kind of coffee we drank and our room number. Francesco, Leonardo and Matteo went out of their way to make us feel welcomed and to make our trip perfect. Francesco had the absolute best dinner recommendations. The places were truly local and fit our personality and wishes perfectly. He was so sweet and kind we felt like he was an old friend. Upon our departure Leonardo and Matteo made sure we had dinner plans for Rome and that we were armed with the knowledge of the best ice cream place as well. Our only regret is that we didn't stay longer in this hotel. We can't wait to return.
We traveled in June with our family of 5 to Italy for 2 weeks. The portrait hotel was our favorite hotel of the entire trip. The rooms, location, and service were superb. We would definitely stay at the Portrait hotel again on our next visit to Florence.
My husband and I stayed here with our two girls. The hotel is extremely conveniently located within easy walking distance of all major sights. Our suite was large, sunny, clean, impeccably furnished, and beautifully outfitted with the latest modern appointments (including an iPad which entranced the girls during their downtime). We had lovely views of the Arno and the pull-out sofa in the living room was extraordinarily comfortable. However, we stayed for three nights, and despite asking at check-in and thereafter, each morning, to have the sofa set up for the girls when we returned each night, it was NEVER set up! So each night, upon return, we were forced to call down and ask for someone to come up to pull it out and set it up for them to sleep in. The breakfast buffet was a bit lacking as well. Having just stayed at the NH Collection in Venice with its incredible array of breakfast options, we were a bit disappointed with the Portrait's limited charcuterie, fruit and pastry buffet. Last, we couldn't quite get over the giant square key "ring." Probably best to drop the key off with the front desk so we didn't have to carry it around all day, but while we do occasionally enjoy pleasantries, sometimes we just want to go straight to the room! Overall, this is a fine hotel but perhaps a bit too much form over substance.
Best hotel experience ever. My family and I stayed at a suite at the Portrait Hotel in June. This hotel was amazing and was the highlight of our trip!! From the minute we got there the staff was there to please. They helped us in every way they could making our trip as easy as possible. We have stayed at many top hotels but this hotel was at another level they went way above the service of a four seasons. The rooms were beautiful and location was perfect. Thank you to Francesco, Matteo and Baha. For their service and kindness during our stay. This hotel is worth every penny. Great job by the lungarno collection.
The day after we checked in, I emailed our son back in the States to tell him that the Portrait Firenze made the Four Seasons and the Ritz seem like the Days Inn by comparison. We have never been catered to in such a gracious manner. The staff are well-mannered and courteous in the extreme. A special shout-out to Leonardo Leoni, Matteo Lubrano, Carolina Tortoli for going above and beyond. BTW, Carolina looks just like Julia Roberts! While the personal service was the primary differentiator, the location of the property couldn't have been better. The decor was very upscale, the restaurant superb. We will definately stay there next time we're in Florence.
We have stayed at many 5* hotels over the years during our travels but we can honestly say that none tops this excellent hotel. The room was superb and the staff and their willingness to help with any questions or needs we had was second to none. We have to make a special call-out to Adele who made our stay special by her handling some special needs we had regarding our ongoing travel. The location could not have been better...an easy walk to a large number of museums, historic buildings, shopping choices and restaurants...could not be beat! The breakfast buffet was good and the dinners at their restaurant were excellent. Again, this was truly a memorable stay and one which we will use as a measure of excellence for future stays at other hotels!!!
