Good location, staffs are nice and willing to help.
We were thrilled at the high quality of the accommodations and the friendliness of the staff during our stay at this property! It is conveniently located near the train station and easy to find. We would have extended our stay but a papal visit to Florence caused a rush for reservations.
just about everything you need is a short walk: train station, central market, restaurants, museums. room was very basic and dark with little natural light. bathroom was very small. overall the hotel needs a refresh. wifi worked was fast. free breakfast was juice, coffee, toast, pastries, cold cuts, fruit, yogurt. price was right and the location was great.
I was very pleased with the Hotel and the staff. I have already booked a new trip for December 2014. The location is excellent, very close to the Railway' station, the Market and all the sights but still very quiet.
The staff were very friendly & helpful. Good value We would recommend this hotel !
Hotel is in a good location. Short walk from the train station. Had to walk a few city blocks to see the sights but Florence is fairly compact Hotel was clean and had a small elevator! Breakfast was pretty good. More than just a croissant and coffee. Fresh fruit was nice.
For the price, you can't do better. The staff are what makes this the hotel the place to stay in Florence. The room was clean, location easy walking distance to David, churches and the train station.
My sister and I spent one night at the Sempione Hotel Florence. It was perfect for what we needed, a place to stay for one night. At first it was very warm but once we told the concierge and he turned on the air conditioner, it was fine. Very friendly and helpful staff. I would definitely stay there again if given the opportunity.
The hotel is located an easy walk from the train station and all the major sights. There is even a great laundromat only 5 minutes down the street. It made our lives much easier and saved a bundle compared to having the hotel send it out. The hotel is clean and comfortable.
I really liked the hotel overall. It has an elevator, free wi-fi and free breakfast. The toilet was unusually high, I felt like I was 5 years old again as my feet dangled. One other thing, they give you a card to turn in to have your room cleaned when you are ready and they don't have do not disturb signs. Nice in theory, but in our experience housekeeping didn't get the memo and woke us up trying to clean the room. Not a huge deal and the front desk said they were going to handle, just something to be aware of.
Good hotel, location a hotel for a good price. Exclent staff
Walking distance to all major attractions; friendly and helpful staff that speak multiple languages and is available 24 hours a day; nice pressure and heat in showers; good complimentary breakfast buffet.
Good value if you need to be near train station or have an early flight. The receptioist called a taxi for us and we made our early morning flight in plenty of time. Definately walkable from the train station. Free internet was appreciated after our last hotel charged 24 euros for a 24-hour period.
Excellent location. Near the train station and walking distance to all the sights. Great air conditioner.
One minute walk to santa maria novella train station. excellent place to put your stuff while exploring florence and tuscany.
The hotel was literally a 2 minute walk from the main train station. Very convenient location with a liquor store, market, bars, and restaurants nearby. I was originally concerned with the location so close to the train station, but we went out for drinks several times and didn't run into any problems. The showers were very small, but that's how it is in Europe. If someone is a large person, they might have trouble fitting into the shower stall. Room had some traffic noise and wasn't the most romantic hotel, but easily walking distance 10-15 mins to every major site in Florence. Free breakfast and free coffee included. I would recommend this if you want something close and convenient to the train station. It was a good value considering the price.
Short 5min walk to rail station. 10 min walk to Duomo. Helpful staff. Rooms simple but clean. Good internet connectivity.
The hotel is located within an easy walk from the rail station, although the pavement was a pain. The location is within a very pleasant walk to the Duomo, Uffizu, Arno, Accademia. In addition, there are plenty of eateries for all budgets in the area. Location is certainly a plus. The staff was very good overall; not as friendly as in other Italian establishments, but efficient and knowledgable. One of the staff was not amicable. The rooms are clean but small and spartan, with old style furniture and bathrooms. The air conditioner leaked occasionally, and there was an unusual smell if you opened the window. There was a simple breakfast and internet for free, which was a bonus. The elevator was extremely slow and very small for all the baggage we had take upstairs. Overall, a good experience, though not the best we have had in Italy in this price range.
We took a 3 bedroom and it was tiny. The bathrooms were super small and it was tough to shower without elbowing the walls. But it was a great location, had decent breakfast and free wireless.
Our stay at Hotel Sempione was great. The hotel staff went out of their way to help us find our way around Florence, even making museum reservations for us. The hotel's location was a plus, being within a five minute walk to the train station, our primary means of transportation while in Italy. The breakfast buffet (included in the price) provided a good choice of cereals, yogurt, pastries, juice and coffee, etc. While in Italy, we stayed in hotels in Rome and Venice, neither of which compared favorably to the Hotel Sempione for friendliness and willingness of staff to assist with travel arrangements. Overall our experience at Hotel Sempione was very favorable, one of the highlights of our Itay trip.
