We stayed in this hotel to celebrate my boyfriends birthday. It is a short walk from the bus station. It was beautifully decorated in a very traditional stylish fashion. It was spotless and our room was a good size with a small balcony and a lovely bathroom and great shower. The breakfast is great and the staff are so very helpful. Riccardo went out of his way to help us book tables and recommend places to go and direct us whenever we needed. This hotel is not even a 1 minute walk to the Arno River at the top of the road and the view is absolutely breath taking no matter how many times you see it. It is a short walk to the Ponte Vecchio which is a must along with all the other attractions. We would highly recommend this hotel. Thank you Riccardo for everything. We hope to see you again soon.
Just a few notes from our 3 nights in Florence. Hotel Executive was very convenient to the train station. If you have a map or great GPS service, its easily walkable. Regarding getting to other sites, it certainly is walkable, but during the summer days we spent, it was very hot, and a bit far to make it enjoyable. Realize that Florence, while pretty small, can take time to get from the hotel to the major sites. That is our biggest issue with the hotel. Of course you could use cabs or public transport. Just be aware. The hotel itself was good (not a 5 star hotel, but they don't claim to be). The room was comfortable, and the included breakfast was fantastic. Hot scrambled eggs, juices, coffee, tea, sweets, fruits etc. We needed to leave by 7 am one morning, and at 6:50, we asked if we could just get coffee. The desk clerk checked and he had them open breakfast 5 minutes early. That allowed us to get a quick snack and Togo food. Also, I needed ice one evening so I went to the bar. There I noticed a spread of pate's, chips, nuts and cheeses, that appear to have been free to patrons of the cute little bar. Overall a very great experience. Just wish it were closer to the more important sites.
Very clean and comfortable hotel with a superfriendly staff and a perfect location: 5min walking from the main train station and 5min from city center and Ponte Vecchio. Breakfast is very tasty and full of options and room are clean and rich of amenities. Free wifi all over the place with acceptable speed. Small toilet room..but enough ))
This hotel was recommended to us by a person who has not stayed there but is later on. The hotel is very nice, modern, and located well for access to hire cars, hire scooters, parking, food, shops and within easy walking distance of all main attractions. Continental breakfast was included and this was very nice and the service very good indeed. Room service was not worth considering as the menu plainly states they are mostly reheated meals. For your money go out and dine. We had room 101 which was right on the corner, just above street level and surprisingly there was little road noise to disturb us at night. The room was very well appointed, comfortable, and very spacious. The only issue we had was there was a damp smell which I can only assume was from the bathroom as it seemed that some timber frame work was damp and possibly rotting. Avoid this room if you can until they sort out the smell. We haven't added any pictures as the room we had (101) is the one we believe is used in their promotional materials (unless they have the same artwork and layout in multiple rooms).
Friendly and helpful staff. Nice and clean room, Comfortable beds and free wifi. Free coffee, tea and newspapers in the lobby. A very good icecream bar just opposite the hotel. Close to Arno river and about ten minutes away from the center. Just found the breakfast buffé a little bit boring after a few days witch pulled down the excellent grade but I can warmly recommend this stay.
A hidden gem in a convenient location within easy walking distance of most major attractions in beautiful Firenze. We selected the Executive because of it's closeness to the main railway station - less than a ten minute walk. The hotel was attractively furnished in classical traditional fashion which was so refreshing when compared with the blandness and austerity one experiences with the major hotel chains. Our room was a bit small but was clean and comfortable nonetheless. An adequate if limited breakfast was included in the tariff. One minor issue relates to the hotel's rather strange policy regarding the air conditioning system. When queried we were informed that the air conditioning is only activated in summer months. This unfortunately results in the room becoming somewhat stuffy as one cannot realistically open the windows because the hotel is situated in a very noisy corner surrounded by numerous restaurants, bars and competitor hotels. We nevertheless enjoyed our stay at the Executive. The service and attentiveness of the front office staff was particularly helpful.
The hotel is very well located for visiting the nearby attractions and is only a short walking distance from the train station. Everything is in easy reach and you can follow the river to the first of the many attractions ponta vechio. The hotel staff were very good from the start and allowed us to book in early giving us a lovely room with a small private courtyard garden. The breakfast was also very good. Very good rates and location for seeing Florence's museums and beautiful buildings.
I cannot praise this hotel enough. The accommodation is tradition, but clean ands smart. The management, Ricardo is very helpful and nothing appears too much trouble. Breakfast is tasty and there is a cosy bar for an evening drink. Highly recommended when you are staying in Florence. We shall most defiantly return.
I stayed here with my two daughters, aged 12 and 14, and we all enjoyed our stay. This hotel is around a 15 minute walk to the train station and around 20-25 minutes walk to the main centre. We didn't mind the walk and found the location to be a good one, especially bearing in mind that we wanted to use the trains for day trips to Pisa and Siena, as well as doing plenty of sightseeing in Florence. Breakfast was fresh and there was a good variety of foods to choose from. The reception area looked very high class and was a good space to sit whilst waiting for people. There was an issue with the room safe, which the staff fixed very quickly and without causing any disruption. Tip: Despite having some lovely meals whilst in Florence, one of the meals that my daughters most remember is getting a Chinese Takeaway from the Nin Hao restaurant just around the corner, together with a ice cream milkshake from B.Ice just across the road. I realise that this might not be to everyone's liking, but my girls loved it!!!
Stayed in Florence at the Hotel Executive for 2 nights and it was a great place to stay in all respects. It was on the outskirts of the centre( 5 minutes from everything ) and so was so nice and quiet at night, breakfast was lovely, room comfortable and bathroom nice.and the staff were very polite and helpful. We have been to Florence before and stayed in the centre and it was too noisy for me during the night as the bell chimes every hour - this was perfect location and facilities. We would recommend and would return there too!-well done Executive!!lovely trip!
