The staff here are EXTREMELY NICE. Location is excellent if you’re taking trains to and from Florence. The room for 4 people is spacious (1 king and 2 single/twin fit comfortably). It’s a bit outdated but average/fine in European/Italian standard.
The hotel is at a great location within 3 mins walk to train station. Restrooms are small but rooms are clean. Front desk people are friendly. Overall, it was a great stay...
Good location to train station and other activities
It's close to the railway and very easy to get to. There are a few parking garages nearby. It's a pretty standard tourist hotel in Florence. The building is nice and the upgrade rooms are good.
Boccaccio Hotel Florence is an adequate older hotel convenient to the train station and is OK for the price. Our room had the windows open when we arrived and had about 20 - 30 mosquitoes that kept us awake a good portion of our first night. The room, a triple, was small and cramped for three people but was functional since we spent little time in the room. Housekeeping was very good. The included breakfast was O.K but nothing special. Internet is available for an additional fee and there was no Wi-Fi. I probably would stay somewhere else if I returned to Florence.
The air conditioner did not work the first night and they were unable to move us to another room, although the hotel did not appear to be full. They got it working for the second night but the first was terrible!
