I have read other reviews of this hotel complaining of the small rooms and this is true, but in comparison to my experiences of hotel staff in Rome this place was a delight. They couldn't have been more helpful. Always smiling and ready with a solution. The location is close to the station and don't forget to eat at Buca di Mario amazing.
As others have stated already it is very close to the station so convenient since we were logging 2 large suitcases down the road. We did have a very small room, couldn't turn too much in there, it was at the end of the hall way at the front of the hotel so with traffic passing by it can be a bit noisy. Try to get a room away from the front. The reception guys were all very friendly and helpful. I read about the breakfast woman in the reviews before going so was warned but you know what, I smiled and said good morning and thanks when she brought in the coffee and she was alright and actually could muster a smile back.
The location of the hotel was great and the staff was very helpfull. The rooms where not that great, we had to move the table in our room to find a plug to charge our phone and that was the only plug, and we had problems sleeping beacuse the airconditioner was very loud. Great location, helpfull staff, bad rooms.
We been staying here for 4 nights, Everything is close and walking distance, a convenient spot and not a busy place as Duomo. Energetic youthful Reception guy was great, with fully introduction to us once we arrived. Showing us loads of details check point from Statue David to best gelato in town. Room cleaning staff are all skillfull. They made our messy room tidy and organise daily. Daily breakfast buffet was a bonus. Choice of course will not be excepted like those chain brand hotel. But the homey, hearty friendly atmosphere do really made you feel home, tho tasteful coffee was another huge bonus. Location spot is just stone thrown to train station. My daily routine starts there for the yarn show, so we picked this hotel. Tho Walking to Duomo with lots of shops to check through our way was about 20minutes, but you will never get tired of checking out all these little fancy shops daily located in all these historical beautifully built buildings. We will come back for its location, hearty breakfast, excellent staff and amazing price😎
I was very happy with this hotel. It is so near to the railway station and the airport bus stop that I could actually see them from my window . My window was facing the railway station but it was not noisy at all. The thick glasses and the wooden shutters left all the noise outside (except ambulance sirens). The room clean and had everything I needed. The towels were changed daily. I liked the old charm in the decorations. There is also a lovely terrace in the first floor for guests. The breakfast was ok. The Wi-Fi signal was not very good as other people have commented here. I didn't meet any unfriendly ladies. Everybody was very helpful and polite. I could definitely come back here again .
Rooms small but clean. Close walking distance from train station and bus station. Also close walking distance to town center and river. Too little options for charging your phone or laptop. WiFi exists for every floor but not so good speed. If your room face the road to train station perhaps you will have a noise problem at night. Didn't have breakfast even if it was included. There are some good options to have a nice cup of coffee and good croissans on the way to town center from St.Novella square onwards. The lift starts quick when you press button make sure you will not leave your roommates behind.
The location of the hotel is excellent. A VERY short walk to the train station in a neighborhood with restaurants, a pharmacy, ATM, etc. Easy to find. Price is good and it includes breakfast. One gentleman at the front desk was extremely helpful, but the other two were not. The room had an odd odor, but was clean. Some rooms were very large (one triple I saw was huge) and others were extremely small (a single room I saw had a twin bed up against the wall with barely enough room to walk next to it). It was acceptable, but not ideal. The Internet wasn't working well in our room.
Very near train station and a supermarket, close to attractions. Front desk staff is helpful and friendly. Rooms and are old and basic but acceptable. Bathrooms are ok. No kettle, tea or coffee. Weak wifi signal, no socket (although one in bathroom), I unplugged the fragrance but the socket was facing closely to the desk, I wouldn't be able to plug in without an angled adapter. Breakfast has very limited varieties. Since it came with room it is fair to say OK. The whole district is hotels so there are choices. Like other reviewers experience, the unpleasant and rude lady in restaurant treated you worse than refugees. The croissants are buffet early in the morning but assigned to one per each person after a certain time. My sister came in at the border time, only one croissant was left in the tray and someone else wanted it, my sister kindly let the other guest take it. When I came down, it was the time to get one per person, I asked the lady to give one to my sister, she said my sister had already had one, I told her no because she let somebody get it. The rude lady brought one out and dropped the plate on my sister's plate loudly. The other morning I was given a plain croissant and I asked to change one with cream, the lady said no more but she gave the cream to another table. This woman has existed for a long time as other complaints are so way back long ago. She is the only staff in charge of the restaurant, she has an attitude and provides poor service as she wants.
Hotel located in a good location but do not expect for breakfast....unbelievable!!, they have few staff and service quite terribler ,room quite old and easy to get disturb (noisy)when you in the room. Better look for other hotel.
I stayed here for one night, as I was coming from outside Florence and needed a place to lay my head before a very early - morning flight. I got an online deal for about $75 and, judging by how close this place is to the bus station, I expected it to be pretty "basic." (In all fairness, I have a feeling the room I was given reflected more the price I paid and less what is usual here, but nevertheless I write now based on my actual experience and not on conjecture or assumptions.) My room was the smallest I think I have ever seen in 25 years of European travel. The size was even possible due to the fact that my bed was a single - as in one of those tiny beds you'd find in a prison cell. I'm hardly a tall person and my feet hung over the edge. While the sheets were clean, the bedspread was likely 20+ years old. Even older were the tiny desk and table, both damaged from presumed years of frustrated banging around. The window (screenless) hardly provided fresh air, but rather a cacophony of street sounds including thumping music, video game clamor, stumbling drunks, endless traffic, and chanting teenagers. And even when I closed it (on a Thursday night), the noise was loud enough to prevent me from ever falling asleep. Good news: the towels were clean and the shower downright wonderful (plenty of hot water and great pressure). Best part: the man at the front desk. Absolutely, positively kind and helpful.
