We took a cab from the train station to the hotel but very easy to use the bus system and only a couple of minutes from the stop. Upon entering the reception area I was very uneasy. I have been spoilt in the hotels that I have previously stayed in. This appeared very basic and came across more as a hostel rather than a hotel. Entering the bedroom I was very close to throwing my toys out of the pram. Basic didn't cover it. Room was very big with a tiled floor, very dated décor and bedding, a wardrobe, a tv and aircon. I don't know what it is with Italian rooms but there never seems to be a mirror in a suitable place. Either in the bathroom or inside the wardrobe door. I had to move the wardrobe to get to the power socket where the tv was plugged in to use my hair straighteners. Couldn't use the one next to the bed as at the wrong angle for the mirror on the inside of the wardrobe. That being said: 1. very large shower room (small shower cubicle), good towels 2. great air con unit which we kept on all night as very high temperature when we were there 3. good breakfast, English tea, nice Danish pastries This is a basic hotel but staff are friendly and helpful.
A stepwise review . 1.Greeted with great warmth at the reception, I forgot to ask his name but he was extremely friendly and guided us about the bus routes to city centre and back and also about the prominent locations to see and enjoy Florence 2. Clean and maintained spacious rooms with Wonderful view of the Tuscany hills 3. A very calm neighbourhood with no disturbances 4. A good breakfast provided What more can you ask from a place to stay. I'd give it a 5 stars. Have added a few photos of the view from the rooms and the hotel I got ..Hope it helps you all. Thank you
This hotel is fantastic for what you pay! When reading some of the reviews I was really nervous about going, but when I got there is was completely surprised.Either people are expecting a royal reception or they are just down right picky!!!! Clean lines, Friendly and not to bad around the area. Some lovely little pizzaria places that are very friendly and helpful. Bus stop is so close but the bus can be a little packed. Florence itself is magical I love it and would highly recommend it to anyone. Oh breakfast amazing lots to offer and loads of choice. ❤
The hotel is located a 20 minute bus ride from the city centre, which is rather nice as it's peaceful. The rooms are basic but they're clean and have air con. Staff are friendly, breakfast is okay. This is a very basic hotel but it met our needs
The hotel is functional, clean and tidy with very friendly and helpful reception staff. The rooms are basic, clean and no frills. The only negative is that the walls are paper thin so you will hear other guests showering and using the industrial strength hair drier as if they are in your room. We had neighbour's who showed very early and very late. Also as the floors are all tiled you hear the upper floor guests too. All in all it was okay.
The pictures are not true reflection. Rooms are dated and poor condition. Hostel standard and although hotel is cheap the room is shockingly bad. The rooms have NO WIFI despite reassurance that on every floor there is wifi there was non in phone ipad or laptop. Located is far from central florence but you can get a bus. Disappointed and would not recommend. On a plus side the staff are friendly once they get warmed up.
This hotel is a good15 mins drive from the town centre. Upon arrival (at 12am) we parked ur car overnight for 10 Euros extra. The room was basic and in my opinion over prised for what it is. Something about it felt like a hospital and the smell wasn't so great. On the up side we had a room with 3 beds and it was quite spacious. We wanted to open the windows and as this wasn't enough went down to ask for a fan which they didn't have... instead the guy at reception told me that it was very very important to keep the windows closed at night as the neighbourhood was so unsafe and there were instants when locals would slowly pull up the shutters and enter whilst guests would sleep. Having being told this by the receptionist at 1am wasn't too great. For 2 young girls travelling through Italy this was scary!! We both slept in fear the entire night. Wouldn't recommend due to location and safety.
We had this hotel booked as part of a tour of Italian cities, it was pre booked by the tour operator. Situated a 20 minute bus ride from the centre which is OK. Our room however was what I can only describe as tired. Pale yellow plain walls, old fashioned furniture. The bed was in an alcove which felt hemmed in. Bathroom in serious need of updating. Only bath towels provided, we had linen serviettes as hand towels. The whole place felt depressing so we found somewhere else to stay!!!
The staff are kind and happy the linen is nice and the hotel is clean. Breakfast ok but basic. The Hotel itself is so dated and the walls are so thin,so much so that you can hear the person in the surrounding rooms turn over in bed, this dose not make for a good nights sleep. If you are looking to stay here to see Florence this hotel is quite a long way out, transportation is quite cheap but very slow because of the traffic . We were unable to find anywhere close by to eat so had to eat in the evening before returning to the hotel as it was not easy to pop back to shower and change before going out to dinner in the city centre . So on balance not one for us.
The hotel itself is located at the very outskirts of city . It's very dated! It's in a 50's time warp. when we saw the room we are disappointed ...it was very old and smelly..i have never expected this kind of hotel in Europe..no restaurant in the hotel or nearby...toilet is very small..Air conditioning not working ..it was bad night sleep for us..breakfast is worst ...reception staff is not that good..will never visit again..
