Tucked against the forest above town, The Log & Lantern blends authentic mountain character with modern comfort. Spend the day exploring Northern Arizona, then come home to soak under the pines, relax by the fireplace, or unwind on the deck while watching for elk and deer.

MOUNTAIN COMFORT
Like many homes in Flagstaff, The Log & Lantern does not have A/C. Mountain temperatures typically cool significantly in the evenings, with ceiling fans throughout the cabin plus box fans for additional airflow and comfort.

MAKE YOUR GETAWAY EXTRA SPECIAL
Optional in-home experiences and guest services are available during your stay, including private massage, chef-prepared meals, special-occasion extras, and other convenient guest services. Availability varies, and some experiences require advance reservations.

THE SPACE
The cabin features 2 bedrooms + loft and sleeps up to 6:
• King memory-foam bed
• Twin-over-full memory-foam bunk bed
• Loft with an additional twin memory-foam bed
The main ¾ bathroom features a rain shower, roomy vanity, on-demand hot water, towels and toiletries.

There's also an additional ½ bathroom in the garage near the washer and dryer—affectionately known as the “panic toilet.” Not glamorous, perhaps, but surprisingly useful!

The living room combines authentic log-cabin character with vintage Old West décor and local photography. Relax by the fireplace, stream your favorites on the smart TV, or unplug with board games, books and binoculars for wildlife watching.

THE KITCHEN
The kitchen is stocked with cookware, utensils, spices, wine glasses, microwave, Nespresso machine and French press—yes, two forms of coffee because we know that's important!

You'll also find the cabin's fully functioning vintage 1950s Maytag Dutch Oven range and Maytag refrigerator—a unique part of its original character.

OUTDOOR LIVING
Relax in your private hot tub surrounded by the mountain setting, gather around the outdoor fire pit, or enjoy the front deck and back patio.
The property backs onto the forest, where elk and deer are frequent visitors. Birdlife is abundant year-round, including hummingbirds in summer and blue jays in winter.

HOT TUB SERVICE
The private hot tub is professionally cleaned and serviced every Monday morning. If your stay includes a Monday, our hot tub professional will briefly access the outdoor hot tub area to perform the scheduled service. They work quickly and discreetly to minimize any interruption to your stay.

Families are welcome! We provide a Pack 'n Play, high chair, baby gate, children's books, toys, coloring supplies and board games.

ACCESS
The main living area is located above the garage and has two access options: an interior spiral staircase from the garage or an exterior walk-up path. The exterior route is a natural, non-landscaped mountain path rather than a finished walkway, so guests should choose whichever access option is most comfortable for them.

DRIVEWAY & WINTER ACCESS
The private driveway is narrow and steep. Larger trucks and SUVs should take it slowly when entering and exiting.

The cabin is accessed by a paved road and is generally accessible by 2WD vehicles. Winter conditions can change quickly, and appropriate winter equipment may be necessary during heavy snow.

You're on vacation. At checkout, we keep things simple—secure the cabin and head out to enjoy the rest of your trip. We believe your cleaning fee should actually mean something!

The cabin is professionally cleaned between every stay, with local professionals helping us keep it clean, comfortable and ready for each guest.

Enjoy a quiet mountain setting while staying close to Northern Arizona's highlights:
• Historic Downtown Flagstaff — 8–12 minutes
• Arizona Snowbowl — about 20 minutes
• Sedona — about 45 minutes
• Grand Canyon — about 90 minutes
The Log & Lantern sits at approximately 7,000 ft elevation. Weather can change quickly, nights can be cool even in summer, and wildlife frequently passes through the area.
