Great new Flagler hotel!

Lovely new hotel in one of my favorite places. The room was lovely, large and probably one of the quietest hotels I’ve ever stayed in. The breakfast was great. Wonderful selections , something for everyone. Plentiful too. The pool was delightful and the food, drinks and service were great there too. The upstairs rooftop bar however, needs some help. We tried to eat dinner there the first night and it didn’t go very well. We were seated at a dirty table. The server came by to pick up the check from the previous diners, he had empty hands and didn’t clear anything. Then he brought menus, and set them in the dirty table! Dude, he put my menu on top of a pile of wet soggy tortilla chips. Gross. He did pick up a few of the dirty dishes but not all of them. Then he left, and after 20 minutes or so of not having a clean table or even being offered a drink, we got up and walked out. There are dozens of great restaurants within walking distance so we went to our favorite place: Tortugas. Always great food and service there for the 8 years we’ve been going there. The rooftop Chill Bar was okay for our final nightcap about 30 minutes before they close because most everyone was gone and we could get a seat at the bar. The bartenders were great. The servers waiting tables need some serious etiquette training. I will say our one bad experience at the Chill bar would not deter me from staying here again because the rest of our stay and experience was just delightful.

We had an excellent time during our stay at this hotel. We were greeted by friendly front desk staff. Our room was clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was good. Awesome staff and customer service was excellent. We will definitely come back when visiting the area.

Memorial Weekend Getway

We decided to go away for the Holiday weekend. At checkin a few issues with checking in(on there side) Room was on the 3rd floor and a balcony with oceanview. Our balcony door wouldn't lock and our balcony didn't have a roof. Couldn't spend time out there when is was raining. However some balconies did have a roof. The halls were quite, however we did hear music coming from The Finn restaurant down the block until midnight. For us the bed was on the hard side and the room set up was awkward the bed faced the balcony and the TV was on the left side of the room. At first glance we liked the bathroom until shower time. With the set up and not having a glass door to close water would get on the floor (slipping hazard on my option) we tried the 4th floor bar, the bartender was very nice we went out on the roof, very hot could use umbrellas. The pool seemed small, but it was nice. We tried the continental breakfast once, it was good, however a small toaster issue. The surrounding area was nice. Note they offer free parking covered and uncoved, however for oversized vehicles it can be a tight squeeze.
