We booked reservations 2 months in advance at no time did they inform us that there is no beach access due to construction strike 1. We get our key and go into the room but not before being greeted by drunks and drug addicts. Once in the room the smell of weed hits the nose immediately from the door connected to the adjacent room, several dead roaches and dog hair all over everything, stains all over floor, beds and seats strike 2. We turn on the AC which is like a 50k btu unit it hardly works room is hot and wont cool down, coffee maker wont work, tv wont work, NO Internet at all such a weak signal was useless. We wanted to make the best of it and muscled through until it came time for showers,, no curtains on window (frosted) NO HOT WATER untill like 3 am when everyone was asleep STRIKE 3. I went the next morning pissed off and ready to leave I knew they wound give me hell about a refund because class is not hard to distinguish so I told the man we had a family emergency he granted me a partial refund for one night. I could have gotten all mad and demanded a full refund but it was my sons B day and it was already a mess. I would not ask a dog to spend the night in that place. Dishonest and run down they need to bulldoze it and or charge 20 bucks a night for local addicts and drunks .. what a mess have a look at the pics
Room wasn't clean worst thing was the people that work there also live in some of the rooms and we just so happen to have some next to our room couldn't sleep till 2:30 am because of them being drunk and arguing and going in and out To smoke And had music so loud we had to turn the air conditioning on to block out some of the noise and it still didn't work .needless to say we left a day early and didn't even get our money back .they didn't even have heat you had to plug in electrical heaters
This is truly beach front, just walk across A1A and dive right in. I enjoyed my stay, the room had a queen size bed and a king size bed and a real hot shower. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this motel.
I've stayed at the Beach Front Motel for 3 Christmases. This one was the most regrettable. The same items that needed repair last year, still need repair, and the bed feels a little worse than it did last year (or they replaced it with a worse one.) The appeal has always been that it accepts dogs (only $20 per stay fee) and it's beachfront. Sadly, the hurricane took away beach access - concrete barriers now line the road and you have a long, long walk to get to a place that has stairs down to the beach or a drive. The road has also been moved closer to the hotel, so the traffic noise in the beachfront rooms is worse. More importantly, however, is that the windows that face the ocean are difficult to see through (battered by salt and wind) and the blinds that needed replacement last year don't close tightly, so the bright deck light shines into your room. I had to hang the only 2 towels they gave me to try and block the light coming in all night. I did bring my own to cover furniture since I have a dog. It was Christmas weekend, so the staff was off, so I only had the 2 towels that were there when I arrived. Wifi is barely usable - on and off all the time. The first night, after my 10 hr drive, loud drinkers sat outside their room, a few from mine, and drank and yelled and etc. until way past midnight. They seemed too drunk for me to ask them to be quieter. The staff, who seems concerned but helpless apparently, did ask about my stay as I was leaving and I told them I'd leave a list of issues. I did and the main desk person said, "We'll take care of you." Nothing's happened. No contact. No refund. Nothing. I'll not be staying there again. Oh, when I turned the shower on the first morning, the little diverter rod in the shower handle flew out. I had to use a coffee stir stick to wedge it back in so the water would go up to the shower nozzle. A sign of things to come.
Good things first. Girl at reception was friendly and helpful. Bed was very comfortable. Across the road from the beach with stairs right there. Walls recently painted. Reason for poor review. It was VERY dirty. There were ashes on the floor and several long hairs in the bathtub. The sofa had so many stains on it we didn't even want to put our suitcase on it and absolutely not sit on it. The TV had a remote but it didn't turn on or off, with no obvious switch so receptionist had to show us how. See picture bathtub faucet. Eventually able to get a reasonable temperature or a shower. Hurricane Matthew came through few weeks before our visit. Due to that there was some structural damage to the building. I'm not referring to any of that. Our complaints are all based on the room itself. ,
we have taken pets children etc fishing poles if you are looking for a family environment you found the right place. the rooms are clean owner is terrific help is awesome . I hope carl is safe and I am sure my motel will withstand any storm wish I was there to see it. been going since 1999 not the place for snobby people. this is literally on the beach its ok to track sand in they have brooms. have a great day and if you are looking for a place like home this is for you. so make yourself at home at the beachfront bring your family and pets be nice to your neighbors love this place Suzan Nally, Curtiss Colton and all their friends and mine see u soon we were there april spring break and again several days in july don't know how to put a pict on but u would love them too
Even though the motel has some age to it, the room was very clean, the bed was firm with big pillows. It is a few steps across the street from the beach and next door to a great cafe. The owner was very helpful with local eateries & accomodating to our late check in.
this is a nice clean hotel with affordable pricing. The owner is a great guy. we have stayed every year since 2007 and always enjoy our stay. it is quiet nice place for quiet walks on the beach or to fish.
We booked online earlier in the day, and when we arrived, no one was there. There was a number to call, and as we were calling a man showed up. He said his internet was down, so he didn't get our reservation and didn't have a double bed room available. Offered us two rooms at a discount rate per room, but still was more money, and we didn't want to split the family up. Recommend calling in person if you want a room.
The location is amazing, just walk across to beach and awesome breakfast place right next door. That is the only good thing we have to say about this place. Accommodations were terrible, had to ask for several things that should automatically be included when you book a room.. for example a comforter for the bed. Flagler beach is s beautiful place, great restaurants, choose a different place to stay!
