We loved staying at Tanaya Lodge. It was such a convenient location for Yosemite National Park. The staff was very friendly. The café made it very easy to grab something quick and go in the morning. The Lodge is nestled in a beautiful surrounding. Yosemite national Park was a quick easy drive. They had so many nice little touches like s’mores supplies for the outdoor fire pits and a beautiful fireplace in the lobby area. The sit down restaurant had a nice dinner in the evening. We were able to eat in the park as well. We will definitely be back.

We booked a 2 queen room which states the room sleeps 5 people. When we arrived the room is clearly sleeps 4 (2 queen beds). I called the front desk and the girl explained for a $30 fee they can provide an additional bed. This was not explained on Expedia. She also stated they have had this issue with Expedia and they aren’t willing to correct it. So technically room sleeps 4 people, but if you want to pay $30 and there’s availability you can sleep up to 5. I think this is pretty typical for hotel rooms which sleep 4. This was not explained at the time of booking. Pool was also closed, my kids were upset, after a long day of hiking they were looking forward to swimming. The resort is nice! Family friendly. Rock climbing, biking offered for the kids, movie night etc. My girls loved the complimentary s’mores night. No food options close by, but hotel has 2 restaurants onsite.

Overall it was a great choice for a place to stay. The kids amenities are excellent. My son rated it a 10/10. The overall customer service was wonderful. Very attentive. The rooms and property is showing signs of wear and tear but overall it was comfortable, clean and good quality. The location to the southern entrance to the park can’t be beat. The restaurant menu is lacking though and the service was very slow. We drove offsite because it was so underwhelming. Overall I’d give it a 8/10. We stayed in mid April 2025.

It is one of the best resorts we ever visited. They had activities for kids and families all day long (archery, bike and hike tours, poolside movies, gold panning). The staff were very friendly and helpful. The lobby area is nice, with live music on some days, and they provide smores every evening.

Property is well located, with many activities some included and others with an extra cost, wish the outdoor jacuzzis would have been open, but maybe it wasn’t time for it yet. Visited mid Apri. We enjoyed our stay and concierge was very polite and provided great options for things to do in Yosemite.
