My sister and I spent our week-long holiday in Cornwall based at The Greenbank, and we couldn't imagine a more happily situated hotel! The views of the boats in the harbor from our room (227), and from the various dining areas was lovely and serene. The soft gray and white colors in our spacious harbor side room complimented the outdoor vista perfectly, and carried the serene ambiance from outside into the room. As others have noted, the bed was extremely comfortable, the room clean, and the service tray with complimentary tea, coffee, water, and cookies added a sweet and welcoming touch. As our rental car fell through, we were thrilled (and relieved!) with the proximity of the hotel to the ferry docks and ticket kiosks, train depot, shops and town center. It was a very pleasant walk, and the more familiar we became with it, the shorter the distance felt. Breakfast every morning with the harbor view was blissful, and we found the cold and hot options more than satisfactory. The Greenbank Hotel offers a variety of excellent options for meals at The Water's Edge (fine dining), The Working Boat (charming and casual pub), and the relaxing bar area. We dined at all three, and we really appreciated having these options for meals. In all three establishments, we found the food to be tasty, flavorful, and delicious. The service was professional, and the staff warm, welcoming, and attentive overall.
