A traditional stone cottage dating from 1875 in the village of Faneromeni. It is made with local materials and has been recently refurbished to modern standards of comfort. It has one large double bedroom with one double bed and one single bed, a sofa bed in the living room accomodates 2 more people, kitchen, bathroom and a small coutyard. It is very near to the famous Matala town (20 minutes drive), and 10 minutes drive to the Kokkinos Pyrgos beach. Enjoy the peace and tranquility of rural southern Crete and enjoy the legendary Cretan hospitality.

The stone cottage is equipped with a large living room with open kitchen, bedroom and bathroom with shower and toilet. The most important things are available even a washing machine and iron. You can sit in the courtyard. Since we used the house only for sleeping and starting point for the exploration of the island with car, the somewhat remote situation was okay. The care by Maria and John was very good. The only drawback was a few unfavourable power cuts due to the inadequate security of the house. We would come again.
