We had an amazing time at the cabins. Everything we planned we experienced. From the exceptional and outstanding ice fishing with Jim in his brand new ice fishing castle it was one of the best life experiences ever and this was the way to go. His ice castle experience was beyond what we imagined it is hands down a 5 star experience and so posh. We also got to experience the northern lights on our last night right outside of the cabins and talk about breathtaking pictures we got it was sure one to check off on our bucket list. The cabins were clean and cozy just perfect for our stay. Mahalo Jim for your hospitality we definitely will be back. Aloha, Joe and Ling

The property was quiet and relaxing. Only thing I would like would be AC or more fans as it was close to 90 when we stayed there and it was a bit hot for us.

Everything was great except the enormous amount of mosquitoes inside the cabin. Not sure what to offer as advice. We were prepared for outdoor bugs, just not swatting those dudes while trying to aleep.

An unique Alaskan experience. I wanted rustic, amazing, uniqueness and I had them all!! Additionally, close to the attractions I wanted yet with nature & Northern lights to watch right from my cabin!

I am one to review what others think before I settle on anything. I wish that this review ends your search for a place to call home during your stay in Alaska. Four miles from the North Pole and only minutes from bustling Fairbanks yet so far back and away from the city feel, gives you the perfect Alaskan feel. With low light pollution this property offers a way to view the Northern Lights right from your cabin. You can also ice fish and inquire into all the up and coming attractions being planed for the new year. Our host is extremely knowledgeable about the state that he has loved for 30plus years. He has lived the true Alaskan Life and is there to guide your vacation from Ordinary Street to Excitement Avenue while expertly advising you what not to miss on your journey. Jim and Syd are a kind hearted “mom and pop” operation that cares more about how well your time spent was then how quick his turn over can be!! You can learn the ins and outs of that cozy town as he pours you your morning coffee and whips you up some reindeer sausage... then head out for ice fishing and end your day with laying beneath the Northen Lights!!!! Please....Enjoy this gem!!!!

Nice owner. He's really nice. Very nice. Extremely nice.

Staff is friendly, but I don’t like the bathrooms situation.

Helpful and friendly staff. Oil stove kept us warm at -30. Better opportunities to see aurora boreallis

Excellent location for exploring North Pole and Jim is excellent host. He is very helpful and helps to acommodate your plans. Also had a very good breakfast.

Yes an Air conditioner would be great if it got hot more than one or two weeks a year. Can’t really justify it. Most of our hotels in town don’t have air-conditioning. But I’m sorry that you had to endure those couple of hot days. I could have used an air conditioner for those days to.

I’m sorry you had a lot of Mosquitos. We hired the Mosquito removing service this past Monday. He sprayed all over the cabins. We make sure the cabins are clear if Mosquitos before guests arrive. You showed up just before the storm so they could of gotten in while you were bringing your luggage in. You being from Alaska you know all about that. I’m glad the zapper worked.
