There is no more water slide open during the week this is very disappointing as I always FaceTime my kids while I'm away on business as they enjoy it so much watching me going down the waterslide. I was told there was new rules that a lifeguard needed to be present and that it was the same for Weyburn. I was told they were new safety regulations by OH and S. I called Weyburn and their waterslide was open. I question the staff and they ended up telling me it's actually company policy for this location only brought forth by management. This is my favourite hotel what the waterslide was a huge draw and I don't know if I will be staying here again. The runaround on the reason why the waterslide is closed during the week was a bit annoying and not appreciated. Other than that the hotel is great so if waterslide is not important to you this is the best hotel there is. I don't know if there's an actual lifeguard available and performing duties on the weekends but with it not being a health and safety regulation just an effort to save money I would appreciate and be willing to stay here in the future if the waterslide is able to be turned on by staff at requested by guests wanting to use it. I totally understand having the water slide off when and if it's not being used. Forgive any errors in the above as it was done with speak to text. And I will not be reading it.

The hotel is clean, modern and reasonably priced. We were there with a Hockey team which was not necessarily a warm welcome the staff. The front desk attendant did as good of a job that can be expected with only one person trying to register a charter bus full of people, rooms were booked in advance and staffing should have been adjusted to accommodate the inflow.

This property is in an excellent location; close to shopping and restaurants, and for me it is close to the office I am visiting. While I cannot say the check-in lady was overly friendly, she definitely wasn't rude, and she was quick and efficient. The hallway on my floor was absolutely freezing cold; every time I went in/out of my room, the a/c was humming away like crazy. I'm not sure if this is required on a +12 day in the last week of September.... Thankfully, this did not affect my room and I was able to turn the temp up to a comfortable level. The room itself was very clean and had everything I needed. The bed/pillows/duvet were exceptionally comfortable, and I had an excellent sleep. The bathroom was tiny, but it IS a Microtel and I knew what to expect. There were yummy cookies at the front desk when I checked in, and there was delicious tomato bisque soup available after 5:00. This is truly an over-and-above service Microtel offers. There was also a very good breakfast available. Soup in the evening and breakfast in the morning can save you some $$ if you're traveling on a budget. A few issues I encountered: - The lighting in the bathroom was poor. There was a (dim) fixture over the mirror, but the mirror stuck out 3-4" past the light rendering it essentially useless, which left the lone pot light in the middle of the room. Insufficient, in my opinion. - The shower head was truly crappy, it amounted few wonky streams of needle fine spray. There was one adjustment available, but it just sent the spray in different directions. - The fluorescent strip lights above the bed made a huge glare on the TV, which was directly across from them. If I wanted to watch TV I couldn't have the lights on. These were minor issues and I could live with them, even if I was staying a few nights. However, my room (214) happened to be directly above the reception area and I was "lucky" enough to be able to clearly hear the automatic door in the lobby area every.single.time. it opened/closed, which was a LOT. Even at 5:30 in the morning, when I was hoping to get another 45 minutes to an hour of sleep. Fortunately, I was very tired and slept through the night without issue; it was early in the morning when it got *really* annoying. Had I been staying longer, I would have asked to change rooms. I mentioned this fact to the fellow at the front desk when I was checking out, and he was very apologetic. All in all it was a pleasant stay, and I will definitely use this hotel again when I'm in town for work.....I'll just make sure I'm not over the reception area again!

This is a very good property which is new, clean, and well run. I would definitely recommend it to anyone travelling in the area and you can be assured of a restful nights' sleep and a decent breakfast in addition!

Everything about the Microtel Inn & Suites in Estevan SK. is great, but it's the Guest Services Manager, Dave Abrenica, who really deserves acknowledgement. His professionalism is unparalleled and he is an asset for the entire hotel industry. The Microtel excels in all areas of hotel service & value. The rooms are designed for the business traveler in mind. While most hotels have a small desk right by the window ... which means right by the air conditioning unit that actually makes working at the desk uncomfortable ... the Microtel has the perfect desk-design in the ideal location; away from the air-conditioner, but still in line with the window for natural light during the day. The hotel guest-rooms also offer high quality office-desk chairs - so important for the business traveler. And there's lots of plug-ins around the desk so I can plug in all my computers & electronic devices. The other thing I noticed is the quiet in-room fridge. Normally I have to unplug the fridge because of the noise it makes when it kicks in (disturbs my sleep) ... but the Microtel guest-rooms have the quietest fridge ever experienced. It's the perfect hotel!

Our stay was an excellent experience , the pool was excellent the kids really it. Yeh water slide was good for the little ones. We will stay there again.

Slight issue with the shower head slowly drooping down while taking a shower, and I told the staff about it when I checked out as it wasn't that big of a problem during my stay.

Stayed two nights. The room was very nice, modern and clean, with mini fridge and microwave oven. The reception area was spacious, with two large TVs. The A/C in the foyer was set to a very low temp, needing a sweater! The staff was very friendly and always with a smile. The buffet breakfast was good, with standard warm fare: egg patties and sausage (or bacon), toaster, but also a waffle iron. The water slide was a lot of fun for the kids and the area also has a hot tub. The hotel next to a Tim Horton's and a No-frills supermarket. It is also a 5 min walk from the mall in one direction and a 5 min walk from Walmart in the opposite direction. There is a Co-Op gas station next to Walmart. The Comprehensive High School is across the street and the kids ran on the beautiful track. All in all, a very nice and convenient place for a family stay. By the way, if you go, make sure to order pizza from the Tower Restaurant (awesome)!

Our family of 4 (kids aged 13 and 10) stayed here for 2 nights as we visited other family in Saskatchewan. Beautiful, clean, modern room. We appreciated having the fridge, enjoyed the large bathroom that we had and really loved the pool, waterslide, and hot tub! The breakfast was fantastic each morning and the staff was super friendly. Oh, and I almost forgot, the fresh baked cookies upon arrival were unexpected but greatly appreciated, especially by the kids! Would definitely stay here again!

Very clean modern hotel. Excellent free breakfast. The front desk staff could use a tune up regarding friendliness. I would stay here again great rate. No room noise and a very nice shower with lots of hot water.
