Good but basic hotel. Rooms quite small and not much storage space. No facility to make a hot drink in the room. Not far from city centre but the area is not great. On a noisy road with Building work and scrubland across the road. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was decent, although the restaurant was very busy at the weekend. We struggled to find somewhere to sit.

The hotel was easy to find and parking next to hotel. The receptionist claimed that I had to pay for the room, which I denied. As I had a long I decided to pay. In the morning I raised question with receptionist and after she made further inquiries they agreed to refund the payment

Highly recommended

Superb hotel, if a little away from the main centre of town. Peace and quiet and large rooms. Only negative was an alarm went off for the room next to me, but this was soon fixed. Staff on duty 24 hours.

Clean and good looking hotel, good breakfast. Slow check in and bar, seems understaffed at night. Plus for rewarding customers for eco friendlyness when not wanting to change towels and clean rooms every day, but a minus for staff taking a large stack of napkins for wiping water off the floor, instead of a rag.

Modern hotel in Essen, comfortable bed and bathroom, breakfast quite good, central area in Essen. a few negative points: no gym, no desk or chair to work on in the room, only one person at reception so some queues at times for check-in and -out, no fridge or minibar in room, no housekeeping for first three days. generally nice though.

However, were missing some "small" very imporants services such as room ameniries: shampo, conditioner, soap, ceram, all the little things that are super important and changes the whole experience. Also - must have coffee/tea making in the room. there wasnt any which was downgrading.

Very nice hotel with super friendly staff in general. Breakfast is really good, but also has an extra charge of 15 EUR. Lobby area very clean and nicely decorated. Open space. Great place to chill and have a beer. Rooms a bit tiny, storage spsce in the corner has no extra light. Thus, it's hard too see anything in the evening. No desk in rooms. Overall, would definitely stay here again.
