location is close to dusseldorf airport. you can choose if you have car. staffs are kind. rooms are clean. but old. and little cold. beds are comfortable. parking is free. breakfast is good. there are very good garden nearby the hotel. i advise it. Oteli tavsiye ediyorum. araç varsa tercih edebilirsiniz. hava alanına yakın.
It's basic but value for money at 75 euros. Clean rooms. But mine was in the basement with no view. I was coming from Wesel and needed to catch a flight early morning from Dusseldorf. 10 minutes to airport.
I was in the area for a convention so didn't have time to enjoy the restaurant or the nearby lake... but I will make time next time! The room was on the first floor and everyone was friendly and helpful with navigating to the convention (about 15 minutes drive to Essen Messe). If I had time to enjoy all that was offered, I would say it was definitely a room worth more than the price :)
They will charge you internet even when it says on the website it is free. There is choice between low and high speed, high speed states 3 EUR, but also states that this is included - it is not. Both on arrival and departure nobody was at the reception and it appeared inconvenient that I wanted to check in as well as check out. Checkout was fast. the rooms are fine the beds are good and the breakfast is really good
Hotel is conveniently located. The room was okay, nothing special and we both had a good nights sleep. The breakfast was very good, a huge surprise. The service at the hotel was very professional and nice.
I recently stayed at the Hotel Landhaus Milser for 1 night while on business. It was a relatively short and easy taxi ride from DUS airport. The hotel is quaint but is a little outdated. I had a double twin room with a door leading to a shared balcony. The views from the room were very nice with the view of a small pond and plenty of wildlife down by the water. I could not figure out how to turn on the A/C unit so you may want to ask about that when you check in. The shower was very nice and relaxing with hot water and good pressure. Within walking distance is a couple of super markets, a gas station, and a couple of restaurants. We ate at a little pizzeria, which was easy and pretty good. Overall, this is a quaint and convenient hotel without many bells and whistles. I would stay here again on business as needed but probably would look for something nicer if on vacation.
I spent one night at the Milser hotel for business purposes. Check in was efficient, receptionist helpful. The big thing that shocked me was how much out-dated the rooms were. First of all I had 2 very classic single beds, like the one I used to sleep in when I was a kind. Overall decoration of the room seemed old as well: paintings, curtains, heater, windows, yellowish color... Same goes for the bathroom: it is (very) large but most of it is useless space. Not to mention the mosaic and again the yellowish color. I am not an interior architect and usually not pay attention to that, but this time it was a bit too much! We've tried the adjacent italian restaurant in the evening. Food was OK but service was sub-par: slow, forgets orders (obliged to ask for our water twice, same for the bread), the waiter even "forgot" to show us the board with the evening's specials... So overall quite disappointed with what we've got...
My husband and I stayed here for one night as we were attending a birthday party in Duisburg. We were unsure if we were going to be able to make it, so we didn't book a hotel until a week before the event. By then, the Wyndham Duisburger Hof and the Mercure were all booked, which is where we usually stay when we visit. Thus, we selected this hotel as the best option in Duisburg because we didn't want to drive to Düsseldorf. Although it served its purpose for a one-night stay, I thought it was overpriced and would not stay here again if rooms were available at the other hotels mentioned. It would be a decent option if attending a conference and all hotels in Düsseldorf are booked. Otherwise, there are cheaper and better places to stay. PROS: -Free WIFI -Free parking right in front of the hotel -RIGHT next to the train station that can get you to Duisburg or Düsseldorf (messe, airport, etc) -Good dinner at the onsite restaurant (I heard this was going to be closed for a few months. Check with the hotel because if that's the case, there is nothing else to eat nearby and you would have to drive or take the train to get a meal) -Easy highway access CONS: -Building and rooms are really dated -It is about a 10-15 minute drive to the Duisburg city center (hotel is really in the middle of nowhere) -Apparently the wellness area is closed on the weekends (check with the hotel before booking if this matters to you) -Breakfast is always included in the price, which is why the cost is high compared to the other hotels I mentioned. We would have preferred to eat elsewhere, but ate there as it was already paid for. Breakfast was okay, but not great.
The hotel is nice and modern but I would characterize it as a business hotel and not for leisure. There is free parking in front of the hotel and there is a train station next to the hotel. The hotel restaurant was nice and they also served a good breakfast. The room was nice and the bathroom was nice.
It was fine for the night. Wifi was free but very slow. Room was a bit dated and there was no tea/coffee facilities. Huge shower cubicle but shower itself poor. However the hotel was well located from the motorway and handy for a supermarket nearby. Breakfast was quite good with a lot of choice. Strange smell in the corridors though. Not sure what that was!
