After being away for a year we returned to the Wyndham Hotel. We had a suite and it was very good. The bed was amazing and the staff was good! Diner and breakfast were also good. Our next stay will definitely be Wyndham.
Very disappointed that dogs are allowed but worst of all the hotel does not require guests to keep them on lead. A couple checked in on the same day as me with two dogs and during my stay the dog that was off the lead attacked me.
very nice place, good place around the stores in the city, i was there for a festival in a other city, very nice poeple work here brakefast was a dream and was lots , like the room a lot it was clean and lots of space nice view on the city but the internet was realy bad !!
stayed here for a work conference. the room was ok, the king bed is 2 beds pushed together but I will say it was comfortable. bathroom nice too. small and pretty basic - walls were not very clean in the room. we had a buffet dinner probably one of the worst dinners I have had in a hotel. the food tasted like it had been frozen and there was no choice for a vegetarian and 25 euros a head was way over priced. however the staff were attentive and nice. the breakfast was better than the dinner. if you stay here choose to eat out somewhere else.
We asked for a king size bed. We were given two beds that, if you were moving something, we drifted apart. It looked like a quiet room in the eye, but the whole night was pouring outside a fan. From 0:100 till 0:3:30 in a room where the music was at 100. Several people knocked on the door but the music was hard. Hotel people did nothing about it. The people of the hotel did not want to do anything about it. The next morning it was alone ohgg, and ooh .. Never Wyndham fot us again.
King bed is 2 twin beds pushed together, NOT a KING bed. Mattress is old, hard, lacks any comfort. No mattress cover or lining, just a single non-fitted sheet on the bed so you wake up with sheets askew and on the bare mattress. Rooms are stuffy. No washcloths in the bathroom. Pillows are more like big square couch pillows stuffed into a ball, no extra pillows in the closet.
Internet speed connection is very poor, I was only able to work with acceptable speed between 03:30-05:30 AM, in all the other times the speed was really low and not acceptable for business work
Aside from having two single beds pushed together, which shot across the room constantly, we had a fantastic stay here
Stayed here one night with my wife after a week holiday in Germany. Location of the hotel is very convenient. Close to city center and train station, but place for parking is limited. Rooms are well equipped and spacious. But I found the room a bit too warm and the AC not really helped. Also the bed was way too soft. Otherwise it was good.
Recently stayed here during a business trip - the location is great with easy access to Duisburg city-center. Checkin was simple and speedy, and the rooms were of good quality. Free WiFi is available, although speed was not brilliant. The building has nice character - unfortunately it was a lovely warm day during our visit, and there was no airconditioning in the room, so it was very warm. We had some drinks in the bar, and it offers a friendly atmosphere. Breakfast was good, and overall staff are friendly.
