Stayed here one night with my wife after a week holiday in Germany. Location of the hotel is very convenient. Close to city center and train station, but place for parking is limited. Rooms are well equipped and spacious. But I found the room a bit too warm and the AC not really helped. Also the bed was way too soft. Otherwise it was good.
Recently stayed here during a business trip - the location is great with easy access to Duisburg city-center. Checkin was simple and speedy, and the rooms were of good quality. Free WiFi is available, although speed was not brilliant. The building has nice character - unfortunately it was a lovely warm day during our visit, and there was no airconditioning in the room, so it was very warm. We had some drinks in the bar, and it offers a friendly atmosphere. Breakfast was good, and overall staff are friendly.
Perfect location near the center, staff is professional and friendly and gave us very good recommendations where to go to have a drink
We arrived a day too early or rather I have booked the wrong date ! The desk manager was very helpful and managed to find a room for us without having to pay extra. Dogs are allowed in the room and an extra charge of 10 Euros, not allowed in the restaurant but there are plenty of restaurants and cafes in the immediate vicinity. Car park costs between 15 to 12 Euro per day, breakfast at the hotel 16 Euro per person. All in all I would recommend.
Only real trouble with Wi-Fi which didnt work last 3 days and the staff members didn't even try to help.
What was good: Very clean rooms and friendly staff, especially reception. Typically for a German hotel, an excellent breakfast. What was poor: Tiny rooms and even smaller bathrooms. No where to hang a towel, no space to put anything in the bathroom. Internet was woeful, constantly having to log in every 2 minutes. Not even a single bottle of water offered in the room. The lounge bar and restaurant feel like something out of the 1930s, very austere and soul-less. Don't think I would come back.
This hotel is very well located in the city of Duisburg. Shops and restaurants are all walking distance. Parking available in streets nearby. Nice breakfast.
This is an excellant city centre centre hotel. the staff were very helpful and the room was clean and comfortable. The air conditioning in the room was great as the weather was very warm for our stay.
A very clean, centrally placed hotel. Staff very polite, helpful and non-intrusive. If in the area my husband and I would definitely use the Wyndham again. I can recommend this hotel from our stay in Duisburg.
Stayed one night. Hotel is quite an imposing building. Check in was slow, almost as bad as trying to hire a car in Germany. Internet was based on a voucher isssued at reception which was free of charge but did not work very well at all. Biggest disappointment was my room. Was very small with hardly any space around the bed. Carpet was filthy and covered in stains as were the walls which had cracks and plaster missing. Air con only worked down to 19 c but did not seem to function so room was hot. Breakfast was average at best. Was disappointed with this hotel and would not choose again.
