Having only spent 2 nights at the Wyndham for a business trip, I dont have too much to say but my short stay was enough for me to discourage others and myself from ever returning. After going out for breakfast, I approached my room to hear 2 men talking and walking out of my room! One was a security guard and the other a common man. I was outraged. The rooms have no safe & have no do not disturb signs. The shower was freezing and no one came to help.
Stayed for a couple of days while visiting Duisburg on business. Nice hotel right at the center of town. Very nice room which appears to have been recently refurbished. Would definitely stay here again.
This hotel is well located on the edge of the CBD of busy Duisburg. The rooms are secure and adequate, while the restaurant serves good fare. The bar overlooking the street is a pleasant place to relax after a busy day in the city.
Love your location. Nearby casino and shoppingcentre. Very nice rooms with nice bathroom. Just the checkin lady needs a course of hospitality. Lady at dinnerroom are very kind.
I generally enjoyed my stay at this hotel but just as many others mentioned the beds are quite hard and in reality you have two small beds put together instead of a double bed which is not ideal. The wifi does not work AT ALL. If you plan to travel to Duisburg and be able to work at the hotel DO NOT go this hotel. The room itself was a decent size and the bathroom was great however there were a lot of stains everywhere. I read that this hotel is lately renovated but the walls had black marks on them, there was a stain on the armchair, a black stain on the white curtain and the other lamp shade was broken. There’s also a big painting/picture on the wall and it was really dusty behind it so you could see that when laying in the bed so I kind of instantly thought that the rooms are not cleaned thoroughly and that’s not the nicest feeling in a hotel. The staff was great!
Good location, nice but small room. Did not have breakfast - price was ridiculous. WiFi occassionally offline or slow. Overall good quality for money. Two issues: beds were too hard (back problems after staking four nights) and our room was right beneath fitness so we woke up to the sound of heavy bonking (from someone running I suppose) 3 days. Would've liked to use the restaurant but it was closed.
I've stayed at the Wyndham Duisburger Hof twice. This most recent visit in November, I was pleasantly surprised by their remodeled rooms. The room was spacious and warm. The bathroom was also very large and modern. The bed was also very comfortable. Good breakfast buffet! The hotel is centrally located to everything in downtown Duisburg, including the train station. The desk staff was EXCELLENT! I needed a dentist, and the desk clerk gave me several great recommendations that I could walk to - thank you! I will stay here again when in Duisburg!
A very comfortable hotel well located opposite the Opera Hours and by the large shopping mall. Staff very helpful at all times. Mature building with character makes this hotel stand out from the rest
Nowhere in the world is an Opera House's front door nearer to the entrance of your hotel This, and, it is a very nice real-star hotel with friendly and helpful staff.
Bed is not good. Internet is terrible. Breakfast room to small. Only 14 parkings for 105 rooms.
