It was okay, but there seemed to be some renovation work going on at the hotel. Because of that, not all services were available. Also, breakfast wasn’t served at 7:30 – nobody was there yet. It was set up later, which made us almost late for an appointment.

Der Check in ist ab 15 Uhr, wir sind 1:27 h früher angekommen. Das Hotel hat uns mitgeteilt, dass das Zimmer bereits fertig sei, aber wenn wir gleich rein wollen, eine Gebühr von 20€ anfällt. Was bei anderen Hotels ein Gäste-Serviceleistung ist, wird hier als clevere zusätzliche Einnahmequelle (bei einem ohnehin „lagetypischen“ Preis) genutzt.

Das Frühstücksbuffet ist grundsätzlich sehr Gut ! Allerdings Butter und zb. Schmierkäse nicht mehr in Portionen abgepackt , finde ich nicht Hygienisch ! Ebenso fehlen kleine Behälter für die Marmelade ! Und die Kaffeetassen sind viel zu schwer und groß ! aus meiner Sicht ungeeignet für Kaffee !

Seit der Eröffnung 2005 buche ich dieses Hotel immer mal wieder, um Veranstaltungen in der Veltins Arena zu besuchen. Mittlerweile gab es ja schon einige Eigentümerwechsel. Und jetzt ist es unter der Führung von "Welcome Hotels". Die Nähe zur Arena macht es für mich perfekt. In 3 Minuten ist man da. Ja, die Einrichtung ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen (stört mich nicht). Aber perfekt sauber. Die Betten sind wirklich ausgezeichnet. Super freundliches Personal (Check-In, Check-Out, Bar, Frühstück) Online Check-In gemacht. Dadurch hat der Check-In im Hotel ungefähr 1 Minute gedauert (man musste nur die Zimmerkarten abholen). Das Frühstück ist für diesen Preis wirklich unschlagbar. Es gibt alles was man braucht und es schmeckt. Ich habe auf dem Hotelgelände geparkt. Normalerweise kostet das 15 Euro die Nacht. Warum ich diesen nicht bezahlen musste (fahren Sie einfach raus), weiß ich zwar nicht, hat mich aber auch nicht gestört :-)
