Nice place, clean and well priced. The buffet is great by local standards. The absolute stand out is the staff. We booked for the millennium cave and it was cancelled due to high water so we scrambled for a plan B fo4 the day. Jacquline was working reception and she was so helpful going through tours and different options. In the end she helped us with hiring a 4x4 from the resort, gave us an itinerary as well as snorkeling gear at no charge then sent us on our way. It was an awesome day due to her. We’re booked on the cave tour tomoz, fingers crossed

We stayed for a week around new years. Sincere thanks to all the staff - Helen, Jacky, Dian and David for everything from the new years party to organising tours for us and everything in between. Rooms are essentially a small house - heaps of room for 2 people. Food is solid, pool is nice and the lounge is great for relaxing. Thanks again guys! Michael & Ilmira

Wow! The service from all the outstanding staff at this resort is amazing. We didn't know what to expect when we arrived, but they went beyond our expectations. Everyone was so friendly, welcoming and kind towards our family of 6. Rooms were great, clean and spacious. Only ceiling fans but found we didn't need the aircon if we left the blinds open to let fresh air through. We booked 2 separate rooms but on the last few nights the lovely owner decided to give us another room to stay in, so we had 3 rooms to ourselves.. very nice of them! My mother also thought she had lost her expensive jewellery from travelling only to be surprised by the cleaner who found it and placed it on the table for her. Honest staff which is a huge thumbs up! Thank you Jill. The food is absolutely DELICIOUS! Breakfast always had fresh pancakes, tropical fruits and continental breakfast. For dinner we would always have lobster, which was cheap compared to Australian prices. We arrived on pasta night (Wednesday) and it was so yummy. No doubt one of the best restaurants in Santo with one of the fastest service. Helen and Jacky were our waitresses every night, always smiling and making sure we were always okay. They do an absolutely amazing job! Close to town. Only a 5 minute taxi to the main street for 200vatu each car. Loved how helpful the staff were into booking all our tours and making sure we had something to do everyday. If something wasn't available they'd try there hardest to call up another company and book another one. Nanda Blue Hole and Million Dollar Point are a must to visit!! Overall exceptional service! Clean, spacious rooms with great food. You have made us very happy customers. I highly recommend this resort.

This resort offers a friendly relaxed vibe and for my wife and I was the perfect getaway in Luganville. The owner/manager Nabeel has done a wonderful job with this resort with the perfect combination of authentic native island charm, with just the right amount of necessary top quality ammenities. Although there is no airconditioning, all the rooms have high ceilings fans, and the pool central to the resort is the perfect escape from the humidity & heat. The food and menu selection at the in House 1606 restaurant is devine with a mixture of island, continental, Australian, Portuguese and French options. The friendly chef Stanly does wonderful fresh baked French pastry every morning having spent three years learning from Francis Mouroux. For $100 a night this place is certainly a bargain. Day trips can be organised from reception at budget rates. Many thanks also to staff Helen and Jacqueline for their beautiful smiles & service. Gary & Roshini

The villas are split level with beds upstairs and a kitchenette and bath downstairs. The accommodation is not high end but fit for purposr in a tropical island. The gardens are beautiful and the restaurant has excellent food. Don't expect five stars but this is a great place for an island stay. Staff are duper friendly and helpful.

We stayed at Village de Santo for four weeks in June. We are 2 medical students from England who decided to go somewhere we wouldn’t normally go to volunteer in the hospital for a month. We were not disappointed!

Village de Santo looked after us from the moment we landed in Santo. Steven was there to pick us up from the airport and on arrival we were treated to our 1st of 3 welcome drinks we managed to get during our stay. Bev and Nabil were the friendliest hosts we could have wished for. They answered all the questions we had before arrival and were always on hand for anything we needed during our stay. Not only that, but they went above and beyond to ensure we got involved with local activities that were happening in Santo during our stay. (They even went as far as hosting a Melanesian feast on our last night!) Every single member of staff is always smiling, always happy to chat and do anything they can to make your stay a trip to remember. The rooms are spacious and can be configured to suit who is staying there. They are always immaculately clean and we didn’t find the lack of air conditioning to be an issue, the fans keep the room perfectly cool.
The restaurant is fabulous. Breakfast (which is included) was the highlight of our day, a lot of choice and always a bit different from one day to the next. The restaurant in general never disappointed. Even our weirdest eating habits were catered for! One of us has a nut allergy, and the chef was made well aware of this, ensuring that all meals were suitable and safe to eat. We would highly recommend the baileys profiteroles!! It’s a 20 minute walk into town but taxis are very easy to come by and very cheap, so it’s not something that should put anyone off choosing Village De Santo. Taxis can be hailed from right outside the hotel gates, and 200vt will get you wherever you need in town. The thing that made this hotel most special was definitely the staff. Each member is incredibly friendly and respectful, treating you more like a family member than a stranger. We’re still in touch with many of them 4 months down the line. A humongous thanks once again to everyone at Village de Santo. You made our trip an adventure of a lifetime, and we very much look forward to the day we reunite again in a few years. Tank yu tumas!!

We stayed for five nights in November and enjoyed the casual atmosphere and helpful staff. The breakfasts and dinners were superb featuring local, fresh produce. In our room there was no TV, radio nor air conditioning but good ceiling fans and ventilation. WiFi was good in the open air bar and casual restaurant area. Visiting 'Santo' felt like we were supporting islander tourism and employment and all our outings were in small groups and very connected to the local way of life.

Spent 5 nights at Village de Santo. Restaurant was amazing!! Couldn’t fault it at all!!! Delicious breakfast and dinners! So good we fixing need lunch!! Room is rather basic. No air con, just a very noisy fan. We ended up putting our mattress on the floor as the wooden bed was super squeaky (even when sleeping!). Shower had a mind of its own when it came to temperature, extreme of hot and cold only. Pool was great and really refreshing. Be warned the roosters start about 3-4am!! All in all after looking at other resorts while we were on Santo, village is definitely better than a lot of them. Staff are also really helpful, especially when organising tours!! Would stay here again, I would just bring rooster ear plugs

This is a great little resort, situated outside of the town (15-20 min walk) but there are shops selling basic goods within 2-5 minutes. The resort itself has a nice relaxed vibe. The staff and owners will greet you by name while the rooms are spacious and well maintained. The food at the restaurant is incredible, but not cheap. There are plenty of other options for cheaper good eating, including the booths at the Luganville market (try number 4), but the surf and turf main at Village de Santo is one of the best meals I've ever had.

I have stayed at Village de Santo twice, and both times had an excellent experience. The rooms are large, well presented, clean and functional. The grounds, while small, are tranquil; you will likely get to know some of the other guests during your stay. The staff and owners are friendly and welcoming, providing excellent levels of service, and they take every effort to meet your needs. The location is about five minutes drive, or 20 minutes walk, from town. The grounds are located adjacent to a local village - so you will hear people singing, children playing, animals, and music - it is a very pleasant environment. The kitchen staff, who are locals, are committed to their craft; the menu will keep you from straying far away at lunch and dinner time, and the cocktails are a treat too. Even if you aren't staying here, it's worth coming for a meal. On Saturday nights, the staff pick up their instruments, and play a mix of local and western music - after our meal, almost everyone was dancing or playing along with them! After dinner and a couple of drinks, it's not long until the place quietens down, and you can retreat to the hut for a chat with friends, or sit outside your room and enjoy the ambience. In the morning, there are many delicious options for breakfast, and you'll be tempted to sit and read, or relax by the pool. If you are visiting the island, Village de Santo is a memorable and pleasant place to base your visit.
