We stayed for a week here, had amazing meals every night, slept to the sound of the waves every night. Skye and Dianne made sure we had a great trip, nothing was to much trouble. The staff extremely were helpful. We as a family of five needed to bring more cash with us, easily fixed by going back into town but all tour operators take only cash. Kyaking to the blue hole from here was an enjoyable trip.
I've been a traveller for 21 years and I have never so far encounteted such amazing hospitality. I really recommend this place. Just the right place to enjoy and relax by the beautiful beach. Skye and Diane's level of friendliness and helpfullness was beyond expected. They were really trying to be as accommodating as possible without spot of bother from their side. Once I come back to Vanuatu, I will definitely return here :) Tommy
My children and I spent 3 nights here but would happily have stayed much longer. Our room, which looked straight out onto the bay, was spotlessly clean and well looked after. You sleep to the sound of the waves on the shore! We also really enjoyed the patio area at the entrance to our room, where we relaxed and played games (which were available from the lobby area to use). The pool area was great, the kids loved it (12 & 14) and the gardens and outdoor areas are really beautifully done. Skye and Dianne are incredible hosts and go out of their way to help and provide information and organise activities to suit. We also hired a car from the lodge which was a fantastic way to explore the island. It's easy driving and Skye gave us loads of tips and info on places to visit. The basic brekkie provided as part of our package was enjoyable and filling. The meals were delicious from the restaurant. The staff and service was always friendly, warm and helpful. The bay is lovely to swim in. Bring your reef shoes! Great experience here all round.
Thanks to Skye and Dianne for giving us a wonderful holiday at their lodge. Dianne went out of her way to ensure we had delicious vegan meals to enjoy and Skye had plenty of advise for activities in the area. All staff were so friendly it was an absolute pleasure to stay. The meals were delicious and reasonably priced. Let Dianne know if you have any dietary requirements before you arrive so she can source food for you.
Practically everywhere we'be Bern on our trips to Vanuatu have been picturesque and peaceful and our brief stay at Turtle Bay Resort was further proof of this. The accommodation would be classed as basic compared to other resorts but it was very comfortable & spotlessly clean - and the location is spectacular. Our host, Skye made us feel totally at ease & welcome, & all of the staff were great. To top it off each meal we had was great. Overall value for money was great.
My husband and I had 4 nights here while we explored Santo. We would have happily stayed longer, and we will be back! Our room looked straight out onto the bay and we slept with the hypnotic sound of the waves breaking on the shore. We had a nice covered patio area which was perfect for reading and relaxing. The rooms are basic but were very well maintained and super clean. Plenty of storage space and the small kitchen was handy for self-catering. The bed was firm but comfortable. We found the louvered windows and ceiling fan kept the room cool enough. All the staff were friendly and helpful. There was plenty of information about tours and attractions in Santo, and staff booked tours and drivers for us with no fuss. We also hired a kayak to go to a Blue Hole and this was a real highlight for us. We enjoyed our morning breakfasts – basic but good (toast, cereal, fruit, juice & coffee), and the lunch & dinners we had were fresh and tasty. Best of all, the outdoor areas & location on the Bay are stunning – you can tell the care and attention that goes into the gardens and you can always find yourself a nice place to enjoy it.
Chris and I spent 3 nights at turle bay lodge. The place is immaculate and the rooms were lovely with bay views right outside the window. The food was the best we had in Vanuatu and the service exceptional. The rates are very resonable consudering the high quality of the resort and the food. The managers couldn't have done more to make us feel like we were welcome and helpwd us with all our queries. Thanks Dianne and Skye for a lovely stay at Turtle bay lodge.
We had a night here whilst travelling round Santo to treat ourselves. The managers were really helpful and friendly and they found a room for us even though we turned up without a booking. After a day of kayaking, snorkeling and relaxing at Turtle Bay, we enjoyed sitting and chatting with other guests and the managers whilst tasting the local Kava. The room was immaculate and our evening meal sitting on the water's edge was a wonderful way to end the day.
We had a fantastic holiday at Turtle Bay Lodge with our kids aged 4 and 7. From the minute we walked into the resort our hosts Skye and Dianne made us feel at home. In fact, by the end of our holiday the kids had decided that they want to live there! Beautiful location and perfectly kept grounds. There are lots of different areas around the resort to relax in or explore. At low tide we waded on the reef right off our room and saw many interesting creatures! At higher tide there is nice snorkelling, and also SUP and kayaks for rent. We also rented the resort's hire car on a couple of occasions and took ourselves into town and up the coast to some spectacular beaches and blue holes. Driving is very easy as long as you stick to the paved roads. The food and drinks at the resort were delicious. They are similar prices to eating out in Australia, but that's the same all over Vanuatu. Our room was basic but clean and tidy. Tip - bring ear plugs if you are noise sensitive as the crashing waves right outside the window, although lovely can be noisy at high tide! Thank you to all the wonderful and friendly staff at Turtle Bay - especially for making our little girl's 5th birthday so special! A holiday we'll never forget. Liz, Bill, Patrick and Alice
This is a lodge that predates the customary resort hotels that can be found in many places around the world. It has a sense of individuality, helped by the care and advice on activities provided by proprietors. The lodge offers many spaces and places to sit and enjoy the beautiful surrounds, and it has a good pool for adults and one for children. The lodge is about 25 km north of Luganville. The only drawback are the first world prices for meals, and there is nowhere else to go and eat.
