Hotels on the Lake in Escalante

"Parking was great! Air conditioning made room comfortable and I liked that the air came from above rather than from the wall closest to the window like many other hotels (the air near the window usually means the bed closer is cold and the bed further away needs more air). Staff was friendly and helpful! We loved the swimming pool because it had a very shallow area for our 2 and 4 year old to play. Basketball hoop was fun for our 11 year old. Hot tub was pleasant because it was not too hot. The big pool would have been nice to be heated more-it was cold but my kids did not mind. I liked how the fitness center and massage chair had windows to see inside the pool. Fitness center was simple. I felt like it had enough fun to provide a variety of workouts. Fitness center can only hold 8 people maximum but was never busy. It had a bike, elliptical, treadmill, pull-down machine with pull up bar, exercise ball, a free weights. Breakfast included waffles, oatmeal (with brown sugar, honey, nuts, chocolate chips, craisins) English muffins/toast, cereal, French toast, sausage, eggs from carton, and fresh fruit "

"The rooms are clean, well-appointed, and very comfortable -- appreciated the in-room coffee/tea set-up and easy self-check-in. Bed was very comfortable and high quality bedding and towels. Despite closeness to the highway, rooms are very quiet. Highlight was the included breakfast -- fresh-ingredients, made to order, and wonderful server (Pauline). "
