KIDS will love the Kentucky Reptile Zoo, which offers in-person venom extractions. Stop by Thrillsville to go kayaking through the 100-year-old limestone cave and putt-putt golf.
If you love horseback riding, Whispering Valley Riding Trails are just 20 minutes away in Beattyville, where you will see waterfalls, ponds, rock outcroppings as you ride under the canopy of trees. The views are sure to be amazing!
Great restaurants are also nearby! Be sure to check out La Cabana for some of the best Mexican food around with a full bar and newly opened Toads Barn and Grill has a great menu with fantastic atmosphere! We absolutely loved our trip! We are from western Kentucky and this was our first time visiting the Gorge. The cabin was perfect for our family we enjoyed every minute. There so many thoughtful touches and amenities that made our stay here even more magical. The weather couldn't of been better. It was perfect for daytime hikes and cool evenings for the hot tub and relaxing by the fire.
