Positives: - Beauty of area, very scenic- Responsiveness and communication with host- Cabin was well appointed and has a nice aestheticNegatives:- We heard scratching and moving around in the walls and had to cut our trip in half as we couldn’t sleep comfortably. We are assuming it is being handled but it negatively impacted our trip.- Make sure that you have an SUV or 4WD car as we saw multiple cars get stuck on the hill leading up to the cabin.

Very clean place nestled in a gorgeous setting in the midst of trees. Especially during the autumn season, you can take in the beautiful foliage from inside the cabin. The water was excellent, both drinking water and showering water. No icky smell or taste at all which is difficult to find in this area. Beds were super comfortable and the entertainment system (arcade and shuffleboard) was a hit with our kid! Quiet setting allowed for us to enjoy the rain and read indoors or play games. Very close to some climbing crags and also Miguel’s Pizza so we could order takeout one night. The owner is quick and courteous with communication which made the experience so convenient. Definitely would recommend for small families or couples. Any family or group larger than 4 persons might make this place not ideal, but that would be up to you to make that decision. However, it’s great for most average families!!

We were SO pleased with the cabin! We cooked dinner there twice and had everything we needed. Lots of thoughtful details like firewood and kindling already in the firepit, a full spice rack and coffee bar, etc. My kids loved the arcade. The dining room table was huge and awesome for eating together, playing games. Everything was really clean and nice quality. We were incredibly impressed with our host...so helpful and available for anything we needed. Highly recommend!

This A frame home was the perfect escape for my husband and me. The beautiful wooded setting was exactly what we needed to get away from the hustle and bustle. Shane was a great host and responded to our messages very quickly. We would definitely stay here again!

This was a beautiful property. You defiantly need AWD or 4x4 to get to the property. It is in a great location, about 20 mins to NADA tunnel. The cabin was very clean and stocked with everything you could need. The owner is very responsive and makes sure everything is taken care of when you arrive.

Shane’s cabin is awesome. He did a beautiful job with it. Awesome place to stay to explore eastern Kentucky from natural bridge state park to red river gorge to numerous lakes and Daniel Boone forest. Cabin is new and very clean and comfortable. If you come during inclement weather all wheel drive highly recommended to climb up the road. Shane is an excellent host.
