The host was wonderful. The cabin and area are relaxtion perfection. My only complain is the walk up to the cabin door. In the picture you are viewing the basement which you do not have access to. The entry door is up a rock/gravel hill that is not easy to navigate. Overall though this was a wonderful place to stay for a mountain getaway.

We had an exceptional time at this cabin stay! Cabin was spacious and cozy, loved the patio deck spaces, and the bonfire area was so lovely especially with the hanging lights. Just be very careful when driving into the gravel driveway going up to the parking area! There’s a ditch on both sides of the gravel driveway entrance so it would be wise to have someone step out of the car to make sure the driver doesn’t drive into the ditch. Be careful when driving out of the drive way too! Other than that, loved the place!

Lots of deer

Loved the deer that came to be fed each morning. Cabin is very nice and comfortable. It’s very far into coosawattee and you have to drive on a one lane road. It’s a steep gravel driveway so you definitely need four wheel drive.

Nice place but no appliances are working

The house is beautifully decorated with traditional cabin decor and the neighborhood is very safe and scenically placed close to the river. The process checking into the cabin was easy, but the walk up to the front door is not easy, so parking above is preferred but a 4 wheel drive is mandatory for parking above. So anyone with a 2WD must park below and walk up the difficult pathway. What was also very unfortunate about our stay that the listing states are a part of your amenities is…. -The dishwasher was broken -the washer and dryer unplugged and dryer does not work -the bottom glass in the refrigerator is broken so you can’t place anything on it -there was no propane to have a small fire on the balcony -there was a light bulbs out in the upstairs bathroom -the tv/remote did not work so we had to download an app on our phones to work the tv which took a couple hours and the host was informed and didn’t help at all with any Solution We also tried to reach out about some of these things not working in the cabin and were ignored. So overall would not recommend staying at this listing until these issues are addressed.

Booked this cabin for a relaxing break from my work as a teacher. I was disappointed because the washing machine AND dishwasher did not work. Driveway was VERY steep and unpaved, so it made getting groceries inside difficult. It takes a long time to get from the house to the entrance of the resort

We booked this rental due to it being close to the vineyard we were attending a wedding at. Even though it was close mileage wise, it still took 30 minutes to get there. The drive up the mountain was an adventure!! But so worth it!! This property is beautiful!!! And the owners make sure it is stocked with everything you may need! Including laundry pods and coffee. They truly went above and beyond to take care of us and to make us feel welcome!!

Fantastic Nature Get Away

Beautiful setting, loved the deer right out the back door! Sitting outside on the front porch listening to the river was fantastic! Cabin was super clean, bedding and pillows were super comfortable. Kitchen was extremely well stocked with kitchenware and spices. Would stay here again! Do recommend 4 wheel drive vehicles.

I’ve rented STRs/hotels and RVs for nearly 10 years and have never left a negative review until now. We’d like to inform future guests of the true accuracy of this listing. If your family reserves for amenities and features, it’s important to know that this listing isn’t accurate as of our rental dates. It was so unfortunate to have this be our last vacation with our 18 year old, and the last before the arrival of our unborn child. List of inaccuracies/transparency 1. Amenities (game room, pool, put put, etc) are a 21 minute drive from the cabin. The roads are extremely windy from the cabin to the rec center. 2. Game room amenities are not included. Each virtual game, game of pool, air hockey, etc costs per use. 3. There is no spa 4. There is no heated pool 5. There is no playground 6. There is no outdoor pool, or whirl pool (there is an indoor and kiddy pool) 7. The cabin is not on a river, it’s across the road from a river. The only access is walking down the road where the property sits until you reach the next road. From there you’ll continue to walk to find a clearing. It is very overgrown. 8. There are no Mountain Views at the cabin, it is built on a mountain. 9. The “stair-less entry” is actually a 45 degree incline on rock. This feature was actually important to us because I’m six months pregnant. It was dangerous to say the least. 10. You have access to upstairs, only. Pros: The deer are remarkable and the cabin was very clean.

We had a very enjoyable stay at the cabin! The front porch and listening to the sound of the river was very relaxing.. Everything went smoothly throughout the trip. The ride to the cabin was winding and very interesting, but both our jeep and truck made the trek nicely.. The deer were fun to feed!

Great host; proactive, informative, and responsive. The property was very clean and comfortable with nice bedding and furniture. (This seems unnecessary to say but we have experienced rentals with unusable/painful to use furniture.) Well-stocked with all the necessities plus nice touches with little extras. The neighborhood was beautiful but a little far from the main fairway adding a little extra time to our explorations. The driveway is difficult even with all-wheel drive, enduro motorcycles, and experienced drivers/riders. Overall, wonderful experience and we would stay there again!

Wonderful Stay

My colleague and I needed a few days to get away so that we could focus on our dissertation work. This cabin was a perfect getaway-- it offered all the amenities we needed, especially in the kitchen. Whenever we needed a quick brain break, we had the option of going to the rec center (with basic gym equipment) or going on a walk to feed the friendly deer. Admittedly, the deer was the best part of the trip. WARNING: Be cautious about parking on the upper level; I'd recommend parking on the lower deck to be on the safe-end. One of our cars got stuck on the hill and when we reached out to Ryan, he was so quick to respond and send for help. This was during the few days leading up to Christmas so we were worried we would not be able to get anybody out, but the issue quickly got resolved within the hour. Overall, this was a super family-friendly place. They have board games for kids, a relaxing patio and fireplace, and even separate thermostats for the rooms upstairs/downstairs. We would definitely love to come back again!

Beautiful cabin and surroundings

Cabin is beautiful and well furnished. It was quite comfortable and roomy. Games available for all ages. Ryan was very quick to answer questions and help us when we needed it. Ellijay is a quaint town worth visiting. We were unaware the lower level was not available and therefore you either had to make it up the steep driveway or you had to walk up the path to get into the cabin. Either way, I would not rent this cabin if you don’t have a 4 wheel drive. Roads are as expected, narrow and winding but mostly paved EXCEPT Parker Way which is the only road that connects to the road the cabin sits on. That road is 1 lane, very narrow and winding. We met a delivery truck one trip and fortunately the driver was close to the only driveway and pulled into it to let us pass. Then when leaving at the end of our vaca, we met a cement truck and had to back down the narrow, winding road until we got all the way back to the entrance of the cabin road to let it pass! We loved the cabin, would have loved it more if it’d been on a different location.

Really enjoyed our time at this lovely cabin. The beds are super comfortable, linens super soft and comfy- slept like a baby! Deer are everywhere throughout this HUGE neighborhood. The sound of the river across the street is soothing. Enjoyed the deck with fire pit. Driveway to the cabin is a little steep for flat land Floridians but doable with a regular vehicle. Plenty of awesome hikes in the area. Ellijay is a cute little town. Blue ridge is also very nice. Communication with the owner was always quick and easy! Thanks for sharing your lovely cabin.

My family and some friends stayed at this property for a few days. We definitely enjoyed our stay. The cabin was absolutely beautiful!!! We enjoyed feeding all the deers that come on the property. We went for walks. Definitely recommended brining your family here.
