My family gathered from 3 different states to stay here and celebrate our holiday. The listing had not been updated to show changes that had been made to the house so i was upset about that. We had to scramble to figure out sleeping arrangements. 2 people ended up sleeping on a mattress on the basement floor. We had several other issues on the night of arrival. The owner did work with us to get those issues taken care of. Things I liked most about the property was the seclusion. But with that does come horrible phone service. The firepit area was nice, however it could use a few more chairs. My adult children took advantage of the hot tub and loved it. I will say the overall feel of the inside of the house felt like everything had been bought at thrift stores or yard sales. The furniture was uncomfortable and in bad shape. The beds are as hard as sleeping on the floor. The decor throughout the home was either broken or covered in cob webs. The pictures on either side of the bed in the upstairs bedroom were not even hung evenly. There was a bathroom added upstairs recently. Having a 2nd bathroom was definitely a plus. However there is no cabinet space to store your items and only one towel rack to hang towels. That towel rack is around the corner from the shower, so there is no place but the dirty floor to put your towel while showering. Kitchen is small and dirty, stove is nasty, refrigerator is tiny. No blinds on windows in living room so the evening sun will blind you.
