We enjoyed a ice rehabbed room with comfy king bed. Spotless bathroom, also freshly re-habbed. Free WIFI. Frankly this is a great place for an overnight stay. But, ice is locked in a pool area - strange but not a deal breaker.
We have stayed here for a few weeks while our home is being renovated. The owner is very friendly, easy to work with and accommodating. The location is very convenient and close to anything you need. The rooms are clean and housekeeping is so efficient!! I definitely recommend staying here, whether one night or several.
When we checked in the man was very friendly and extremely accommodating. There was free breakfast and the rooms were clean with a comfortable bed. Also, the price is great! There is also a nice Mexican restaurant across the street that the owner of the hotel recommended.
Big screen TV, comfortable furnishings, large renovated room with parking outside the door. Attractive price with great value and the service was friendly and sweet! My husband was thrilled with the accommodations and the well-maintained property and the nostalgic setting. We would love to stay here again - it felt like staying with friends.
We checked in with a nice lady. When we entered our room, we saw the three chairs should have been replaced long ago. The desk chair had a large rip in the vinyl, and the arms of the two armed chairs by the table were filthy. However the bed and bathroom were clean. See picture below. The breakfast was minimal, toast, coffee, cereal and hard-boiled eggs. We never saw a person in the morning while having breakfast or when we wanted to check out. We left our key on the desk and left.
The bed was nice. Microwave and mini fridge in the room. There was a sign for a vending machine and ice. No vending machine was there and the ice maker did not work nor appear to have worked for some time. Advertised as providing breakfast. The only thing provided was coffee and dry cereal. Not even milk was available. Overall, cheap overnight stay but just know all you really get is a bed, no amenities.
Staff was friendly. Room was clean, bed decently comfortable. Small refrigerator and microwave were in the room. Free WiFI and good selection of TV channels. Not far from restaurants. Area the hotel was in appeared safe.
Very comfortable and clean staff very friendly and efficient. It is very close to the Route 66 Museum and the City Park and Rodeo Grounds also has Pedro's Mexican Restaurant across the street and has great food.
We arrived around 1:30 am. We called the number on the door and got an immediate response. The room with 2 queen beds cost less than half of what was being charged 2 miles away (about $60 with tax). Breakfast was cold cereal with milk and coffee was available. Only one of the sink water knobs worked and the shower took about 10 minutes to get hot, but once hot, it stayed hot through 6 showers. Nothing fancy, but clean, efficient and safe.
....and whoever heard of Elk City OK? We ended up here after having a tire blow out on our way through the State of Oklahoma. There was nothing open after 5pm so we couldn't get the tire fixed until the next day. The tow truck driver was kind enough to transport us to the nearest hotel after he dropped the car off. It was America's Best Value Inn...for $80+ a night. WOW! Since we had no option we checked in. The place was empty, no cars in the parking lot, but we were given a room at the far end of the building....we drag our stuff down there and the room has not been cleaned since the last guest...beds unmade, towels on the floor....trudge back down to the office, get a new key to the room next door to the last one. Get our stuff inside, and there's a coffee maker, but no coffee, no cream, no sugar.....back to the office. If it had stopped there, I would have given them one star, but the next morning I called the tire place and discovered they didn't have a tire to fit my vehicle so they would need some time to get one from somewhere else. I went to the office and asked about check out, was told it was 11am. I explained I didn't know when the car would be fixed but I had to walk down to the tire place and needed to leave my daughter in the room until I could take care of the car. The manager was very nice, had one of her employees drive me down the street to the tire place. Finally got the car fixed and checked out close to 1pm. I was able to fill my travel cup with coffee and get my daughter freshly made waffles from their breakfast bar before we hit the road again. The actually room we stayed in was clean, large, and had a coffee maker, microwave and small refrigerator, plenty of towels and the beds were comfortable...also had free wifi which had a strong signal. So, apart from the rocky start, and what I still consider to be an overpriced hotel in a tiny town, everything else was excellent.
