After a year and a half apart because of Covid, my sisters and I were able to reunite with our dad over Father's Day weekend in Taos. It was our first time visiting and we feel so lucky to have stumbled upon this listing. The house was spacious but yet provided great opportunities to congregate together -- like when we gathered around the giant island to build our own pizzas, or get a bit competitive in ping pong in the giant game room, or nestled around the round dining room table for breakfast or a game of Yahtzee. We were concerned about there not being any A/C since the day time temps got up in the 90s. But the night time was cool (in the 50s) and with the windows open and fans going the house was fine (just make sure to close the windows and blinds during the day to keep the cool air in!). The house is in a great location, north of Taos Plaza on the way to Taos Ski Valley. We went whitewater rafting, shopped downtown Taos, explored the Rio Grande Gorge bridge, went fishing at Eagle Nest Lake, and spent a lot of quality time at the house catching up and hanging out with one another. Because all of us were on different dietary plans (Whole30, Vegan, McDonald's), we placed a grocery order online in advance with Smith's and the property managers (Greg and Cat) were helpful in picking up the groceries and having them stocked in the house when we arrived. Saved us what could have been hours in the store trying to navigate our various grocery lists. We're planning a trip back next year and would definitely stay here again!
