Our company booked the grand ballroom for a conference and trade show. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. Set up was done right. The food was great. Booking went very easy and they catered to our needs. All in all a perfect experience.
I travel regularly for business, I make it a habit to call ahead and confirm the reservation Made by my office. I called and of course my reservation was lost. I made another reservation prior to getting on the plane and was told it would be $117 . I also asked for a early check in for noon and confirmed my request with clerk twice . When I arrived at the hotel there were 3 desk clerks . But only 1 of the 3 could check me in because the other two did not have passwords. After waiting nearly a half hour to finally check in I was told that they did not have a room ready and I would have to wait. With much insisting they finally found a room. I paid and found out they were now charging me $145 for the room. When I complained about the price the answer I got was you signed the sheet you pay that now. Well by this point I had been awake for over 24 hours and hadn’t eaten anything so I went to my room to sleep. I got up and went to take a shower. There were three different used bars of soap , showing how very long it has been since that bathroom was ever cleaned. At this point I went again to front desk and demanded at least to pay only my original agreed price. As I over paid by $28 and I had a filthy room. Well I got a $20 discount.... Still overpaid. In all I only spent 8 hours there I cut my losses and checked out.
I came here on business so I can't speak to the room price to the quality, but the room was generally comfortable and well constructed. Easy to understand appliances, although the furnishings and carpets were definitely older they were pretty well maintained. Fast internet and most of the amenities stayed open late, even on week nights. The workout room was a bit of a letdown (just a couple of old workout machines in an office-sized CARPETED room. Could have really benefit from some yoga mats), but the pool was clean and a good temp, and the event spaces looked spacious and well used. The hotel restaurant was alright food, but seemed way more pricey than was warranted for the quality. That said, all of the servers were so kind and attentive. Worth a big tip definitely, I'm a little sad that I didn't catch the names. The same extends for the service in the rest of the hotel, with the front desk being professional and put-together, although seemed to be a little quiet for my liking. As someone who's worked at a front desk, it would have been nice to be greeted with a big smile and a greeting, or an "I'll be right with you, please take a seat" if there is somebody checking in ahead of me. However, my housekeeping service was phenomenal. Maryam was my housekeeper and she picked up my room with such an attention to detail that it made coming back from work so much less stressful. She even put a hand towel underneath all my makeup so that it wouldn't need to rest on the bathroom counter, and folded some of the clothes I had accidentally left on the floor while leaving in the morning. I really appreciated it, and I'm sure the other guests do too. Over all; a very comfortable, reasonable stay if you're looking for this end of the city. Due to the location you will probably want a car, but that seems comparable to most places in Edmonton. They also have a mini 'bee hotel' to support the local bee population and had some other cute aspects like that. I also saw a few dogs over the course of my stay, so they may accommodate dogs, which automatically makes me like/respect a hotel more. Keep up the good work!
Horrible stay at the most filty hotel where you pay so much. The rooms were so dirty old carpets. Dinning room filty old carpets. Staff were great Very expensive for the standard I was told I booked a standard room that is why I get to stay in a run down place it was $150.00 a night.
Shirl, our server for lunch at Pub 76 was very efficient and friendly. When we returned later for a light snack and a drink she remembered what we wanted to drink, I found that very impressive, that shows she pays attention to details. Keep up the great work Shirl, hope you enjoyed your birthday! 😊👍👍
From when I called to book a room to my arrival there was a welcoming feeling. When I got to my room and down to the lounge for supper it was very relaxed and comfortable. The breakfast buffet has an excellent selection of hot and cold foods.
I was pleasantly surprised to be set up in a gorgeous business suite in the new wing of the hotel. I had plenty of room to spread out to prepare for my meetings with the separate living space from the bedroom. It had a
I brought a group of 140 students to the hotel and we were treated extremely well during our stay. The hotel was amazing, the food was delicious and reasonably priced, clean rooms and super friendly staff. Everything for our stay was ready when we walked through the door and the hotel manager and group sales department were in constant contact with us from the planning stages through the end of our trip. I will definitely bring my kids back to your hotel the next time we come to Edmonton!
We stayed 1 night only as it was closest to our appointment early the next morning. We were extremely impressed with everything! The public areas of the hotel were very nice and our room was huge!! Thought for sure with two king size beds it would be crowded but it was not. We found the beds and pillows to be very comfy and the best room darkening curtains I’ve seen for awhile. There was a nicely appointed bathroom and a very long desk/table area. There was even a nice sized kitchen type area with cupboards, fridge, microwave and sink as well as all the coffee supplies. Everything was very clean and modern in the decor. We arrived late and ordered clubhouse sandwiches with ceasar salad and they were AMAZING!! We didn’t use any of the facilities as we were gone early the next day. Yes, the hotel isn’t in one of the most popular tourist areas of the city but it certainly is a hidden gem. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again if the need arises. I have fairly high expectations for a hotel and you certainly hit them. Thank you! We will be back!
location is horrible there are no views to speak of and a long distance from any events or convinces. if you are there for business in one of the convention centers they offer it would be worth a stay.
