The Delta Sherbrooke is badly in need of a massive renovation! I have stayed in over 100 Marriott's across the country and have never seen a Marriott hotel so outdated and in need of attention. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful but beyond this, unfortunately we can not say many good things. To begin with, when we approached the hotel, the temperature was below zero and they had not adequately salted the driveways to the hotel. Driving the short way from the road to the front of the hotel was slightly treacherous. Upon arrival, there were no bellman to help with the luggage on an extremely frigid day. This is a very simple, standard Marriott procedure that was not offered. Once checked into the hotel we were utterly shocked as we exited the elevators to see what literally looked like 1970's decor. It looked like something out of a 1970's horror film. Although clean, it really made one feel like this hotel has been completely ignore by ownership. Our room was clean, but again, it was in terrible need of renovation and updating. Between the old hair dryer, damage to the sink and the strange feeling of being in some kind of time warp, it was not a warm feeling at all, And the towels. For a company that makes millions of dollars a year in profit, in a cold weather environment like this, the last thing a customer wants are towels that feel like sandpaper. We went to the lounge for a drink and there was no one there. It was very cold in the bar area. We had a drink, the bartender was pleasant. He noticed we were cold, so he made a nice gesture, although, we thought, very strange. He brought out a space heater! Seriously, this is the Marriott Corporation...turn up the heat in the lounge! It almost felt like they were trying to save a couple of pennies! When I wanted to pay, I was looking for the bartender and found him talking on his cell phone. I understand it's slow, but you would think with only two guests, he might want to pay attention, try to sell, have a conversation. Renovation and attention to service is immediately needed and recommended!

Let’s be honest: this hotel is extremely dated. I had my wedding reception here back in 2002 when it was still fairly new and the best Sherbrooke had to offer. It’s still popular as a convention centre because of its spacious reception areas. However, as a hotel, it unfortunately does not even come close to the Grand Times Hotel and the brand-new OTL Gouverneur. ROOM: We were upgraded to a suite because of our late arrival. Good news is the bed was quite comfortable and the view of Mount Bellevue in all of its fall glory was nice. Bad news is all the rest: incredibly outdated décor, uncomfortable furniture that showed its age (torn couch cushion, frayed edges galore, stained carpet, rock-hard armchairs), unbelievably old and inefficient bathroom fixtures, horrendous fluorescent lighting, etc. Sure, little things were changed here and there, but the overall impression is not good. CHECK-IN/OUT: Courteous welcome. All was taken care of quickly. PARKING: Free outside parking, both covered and uncovered. BREAKFAST: Breakfast not included. POOL/FITNESS: I’m not sure I clearly understood the clerk’s explanation. Apparently there is indeed a pool, but it is owned by a private organisation that decided to shut it down. So the pool is there, but empty! Also there is a pitiful little fluorescent-lit fitness room in the basement. LOCATION: Central for Sherbooke, near the major shopping centre and various restaurants. Quite a few restaurants in the vicinity and they can all be reached by foot. For lunch, I highly recommend Chez Renaud right next door. The verdict: this hotel is in desperate need of a drastic makeover and I will not be returning until that happens.

This was a last minute booking as we werent sure of our schedule on our trip to Bishops University. We chose this hotel as it had the top Tripadvisor rating in town and was reasonably priced. We pulled in off the main drag and then discoveered that there were no signs indicating where to find the front entrance to the hotel...do we drive straight or turn left up a steep hill or even turn right for that matter. So we went straight between the buildings....nope....turns out we had to go up the steep hill. A sign here would be helpful...pretty sure I am not the only person to have this issue. The staff at the desk were very nice, but the computer system is ridiculous. My fella had made the booking with With his Marriot card and his CC. I asked to have the billing done on my CC instead. So now the reservation had to be changed and put under my name. The clerk commented that I could get aeroplan points by using my Marriot card. I didnt have my Marriot card with me but my fella pulled up his again and gave it to the clerk....So back in it goes and guess what? The reservation is now back under his name but with my CC as the billing card. Seriously, all that took 10-15 minutes and just took us on a ridiculous circular path to irritation. I am certainly not criticizing the staff, they were very professional. Our room was nice and the bed was comfy. Our bill was under the door in the morning and all was well

The hotel was nice, but nothing special. I was disappointed to find there is no pool on site. The breakfast was delicious and there was enough selection to make everyone happy. We have quite a story tell about dinner. We were hungry and tired and waited over one hour for the menu to arrive and then an hour for our dinner to arrive last Friday evening. It was quiet, not busy so we were quite puzzled as to the long wait. The food was fine, however ask for the wait time if you decided to eat her.

Stayed there with my wife and son Joshua on a road trip to Eastern Townships and Quebec City. This hotel is probably the best option in Sherbrooke. It have 10 stories high and may be the biggest in Sherbrooke. It is clean, however, it is dated. The elevator takes forever to arrive. The parking spaces in their parking lot are very tight, if someone parked not in the middle, the space next to it cannot fit a full size car. I am driving a van and this is an issue. The breakfast and dinner is very expensive. A large pizza with fries and drinks cost $40. It is close to McDonald, pizza pizza and actually Pizza Hut just next door to the hotel. There are Lots of restaurants nearby, East Side Mario, breakfast place and a Thai restaurant. The gym is very small and have no TV. It does not have a pool neither.

Tarveling through Sherbrooke as I do a few times each year. This is a fine hotel to stop at and get some rest. Several decent places to eat in the area. Service is always good, polite and efficient. Internet works fine, which is important to me. Breakfast has a good selection and service there was very good. Coffee was flowing and seemed I always had a full cup and one to go when I left. See you next time I am in Sherboooke

A nice place to stopover on the way back from Montreal! The room was a bit outdated, even with my Marriott Gold upgrade to a suite; however the highlight was the breakfast for our family and "free" packet of toys that the waitress gave to my son. It definitely made his day!

I stayed at this Delta hotel for 2 nights when my husband and I were on our way to Quebec City through the Eastern TownShip. The hotel is old and lifeless. Although our room is large and relatively clean, the bathroom requires major renovation. The air conditioner was so noisy; it sounded like a freight train was coming our way. We just could not sleep, kept waking up when the air conditioner was on. All in all, not exactly a Delta or Marriott hotel I would have expected. I will not recommend this hotel to my friends or family.

We received an upgraded room but was surprised at the outdated quality of furniture and fixtures. The air conditioning was very loud and make a constant clanging noise. Bathroom fixtures looked they were from the 70's. The front desk staff were very courteous and professional.

The hotel is conveniently located close to downtown and to major roads. It is a bit outdated, but clean and rooms are spacious. The staff is polite and seems to be well trained in terms of customers service. There is an onsite restaurant which I found I slightly overpriced, but there are plenty of eating options within walking distance or short drive. I have stayed there 3 or 4 for the last year and I will definitely stay again.
