I have been staying at the Novotel City West regularly for over 20 years. The rooms are cleaned the food is ok. In summer, they hold regular BBqs outside that are fantastic. The staff generally have been working at the Novotel for a number of years so it is easy to build good relationships. If you visit Novotel City West, look out for the bar manager Jenns, and Thomas, they are great guys and will look after you, excellent customer service. It is always a pleasure to stay there, it is like home from home!
The hotel was very clean with friendly courteous staff. Rooms were of good size and well presented. The hotel boasts a gym and sauna as well as restaurant. The breakfast was expansive with many choices.(Tip if you want to get around 20 euros buys a 4 hour pass for 5 for both bus and tram)
Seriously tired overdue for refurbishment. The hotel has many problems now due to its age. In particular the air-conditioning is not working. This is further exacerbated by the fact the staff claim it is working even though the rooms are 27° too hot to sleep in
Not far from airport. The team u77 is not reliable so one has to walk 7 min to take u74 and u76. The reception staff was very helpful. Breakfast was good.15 min journey to hbtf. There is no nearby supermarket
we spent second time in this hotel everything was ok,breakfast was delacious wide array of food from the restaurant. Very nice and helpful staff in the lobby and kind bartenders. the hotel is in a good location.
It is a pretty good hotel for business visitors. The rooms (had my room at 6th floor) offer a large workspace, chairs, couches and are not to dense packed. Restaurant is average, offfers typical 4* food stuffs. Drinks are cheap.
Happy so far with Novotel hotels where every we go. A bit dearer than most but your asured of all facilities required staff are always good. Extra in some places with pools. Coffee and tea available. Nothing was too hard on where to go and if you had issues with your room.
When I first entered the room I found some hairs on the bed, anyway decided to give this hotel another chance..then my electronic key to open my room’s door did not work 3 times in 2 days, and the receptionist said that it was because I tried to open the door while I was having my mobile phone with me, therefore if you have a mobile phone I suggest you to choose another hotel. If it weren’t for the barman (very nice guy) I would have definitely rate it 1 star. Not recommended
Overall the hotel is a little jaded and the rooms could do with a revamp. House keeping could also be a little more conscientious as our soap dispenser in the shower had run out and bath towels were only provided for one instead of two when they needed replacing. Saying that the staff are friendly and breakfast buffet on offer was very good. Location wise, it is as the site says, ideal for business travellers. However, the U-Bahn is easily accessible and we made good use of the trams. A 24hr ticket allows you to hop on and off so , Koenigsallee in the old town doesn't take too long to get to. Parking is also available next to the hotel and as a guest you do get a small discount.
I was on business meetings about 10 minutes walk from there. There are other hotels around but this one was offering very good rates and seemed proper. I arrived rather early (9am) from the airport after a 20h journey and was received very nicely . They were able to get me a room directly. The room itself is ok (no more no less) and clean. The only downside is the lack of additional power appliances. Breakfast was included in my rate and for a buffet, it was actually very good, diverse and fresh. Location wise, the hotel is literally 10-15 mins taxi from the airport terminal. So overall, for a short stay, this is a rather fine hotel... not a grand Hyatt but nice enough!
