Check in was great. They allowed us to store our luggage early so we could return our rental, then let us check in early. Breakfast was good but was not part of our package so we had to pay separately which was quite expensive for a breakfast. We only did the one morning for breakfast and the next 2 mornings walked to a local bakery for pastries and coffee and saved ourselves a bunch of money. On our second day our toilet stopped working and someone came right away and played around with it but didn’t seem to know what he was doing and blamed it on low water pressure, when he was leaving he said it might work. Our entire stay our room was extremely cold, we figured we didn’t understand the temperature control system in the room so asked the front desk. They stated they control the temperature and would make adjustments from there end. The room continued to be extremely cold for the remainder of our stay.

The hotel was a lovely little find in a safe, quiet area of Dusseldorf. Easy walking (5 minutes) into the centre of the town. The room was good. A fridge, safe, coffee machine and kettle in the room. Complimentary bottle of water every day. In terms of issues with the room - the first would be the bed and pillows. This may be a personal issue however the mattress was uncomfortable and the pillows were very firm which did not give you any option to change for a softer pillow! The kettle was adequate for usage however there was no power outlet near to the kettle nor was the cable long enough to allow you to use the power outlet for the coffee machine. The kettle had to be placed on the floor next to the bed to use it! It just felt silly. We were only there for 3 days however if staying longer there was very limited room to store clothing. Reception - the person who checked us in on arrival was fine but struggled to find a Map of the local area, struggled to find the hotel on the map once found and could not tell us how to purchase tickets for a tram. All very basic and something any traveller would need. Other than checking in we had no need to deal with Reception however upon entering/leaving the hotel there was never a warm smile or greeting and always felt like someone was struggling to make you feel welcome. Breakfast - no-one greets you or advises as to whether you should sit at a certain table or whether they will bring coffee etc. It needs a clear message!

Here are some highlights that might help fellow travelers: The hotel is located in a very safe area, which made me feel comfortable walking around at any time of the day. Despite being in a central location, the hotel is remarkably quiet. We had no trouble getting a good night's sleep. There are plenty of shopping options nearby, from high-end boutiques to charming local shops. It's a shopper's paradise! The area is filled with diverse dining options. Whether you're in the mood for traditional German cuisine or something more international, you'll find it all within walking distance. The hotel is well-connected by public transport-trams to Dusseldorf central. There are several tram and bus stops nearby, making it easy to explore the city. One of the best features is its walkability. The main city center is just a 20-minute walk away, which is perfect for those who enjoy exploring on foot. The hotel's location is incredibly convenient. It's close to major attractions, yet tucked away enough to provide a peaceful retreat. Overall, I highly recommend the Muze Hotel for its excellent location, comfort, and the wonderful amenities it offers. It's a great choice for anyone visiting Düsseldorf!
