Avidon is a not too big hotel located on outskirts of Dusseldorf, few minutes from airport. When going for breakfast or to converence rooms, you can see a lot of art (some of this is really strange, especially the toilets in the basement look really specific...). Unfortunately, hotel is located in quite noisy neighbourhood with tram loop just behind the hotel, you can also hear planes. Don't count on hot meal here, you need to look for a restaurant elsewhere. Rooms OK, but sometimes heating does not work properly. Breakfast choice is acceptable, but nothing special.

Now I’m not one to complain but after a 20 minute walk with ny suitcase, under the rain, through muddy park lanes, because taxi drivers refuse to drive you “so close”, I just wanted to hunker down, eat and do Netflix before getting some sleep. Checkin was fine, but surprise-surprise, there is no restaurant at A HOTEL AIRPORT. Most guests staying are overnight sleepers that just want to eat, shower and sleep - having food is absolutely basic and has really dimmed down everything good about the place. They recommend a local restaurant but it’s raining hard...it stopped a little and walked 6 minutes to a nearby Netto to get some basics to make a sandwich. Room is clean, modern, spacious and decent overall. Great bed, really bad pillow. Will stay at the Maritim closer to the airport next time, slightly more expensive but worth it.

Stayed 1 night booked via my company. The location is good and met the needs for my meetings. The bar is OK but not as stellar as you might think from the presentation. The room was spacious. My BIG downside with the stay was related to that I became sick during the night from food poisoning and could not even more or less get out of the bathroom. I called the reception on a Tuesday morning at 04.00 (am) and asked if I could get a Coke to the room. The man in the reception answered that the hotel didn't offer room service and I needed to come down. This was not an option for me at this point. After the "no" the call was ended. Such a crap service I cannot believe it. So, in summary if you stay here make sure you don't become in need of assistance because there is none!

No, it is not new but it is worth a visit. Just two steps away from the airport this hotel offers spacious rooms with all modern comfort and some very special touches of design and art. Very clean. Friendly staff (receptionist is SUPER). Bar with enourmous choice of single malt whiskies.. Small but very atractive breakfast buffet, very well taken care off. Shame that internet still has to be paid separately.

I’ll be honest, we were moving from the Hilton Düsseldorf to the Avidon and I wasn’t looking forward to it. When we pulled up to the hotel I really thought we were in trouble. Boy was I wrong. This is an outstanding boutique hotel. The reception and check-in was simple, fast and efficient. Our room was gigantic and perfectly well appointed. We had a large sitting area, desktop area for laptop / workspace, plus a giant and comfortable bed. The bathroom and shower were clean and updated. We had a large balcony. The breakfast room is adorable and the breakfast is delicious. There’s a small resto / bar that’s very cool. We loved the quiet neighborhood and it is located directly at a train stop, but is very quiet. If we go to Düsseldorf again, I would CHOOSE to stay here.

The hotel is about 1.5km (1 mile) from the airport, easy walk via the park or you can follow the road round in the dark. Hotel is clean and rooms quite large, mine was very hot with the sin coming through the large glass wall leading to the balcony, beds are comfy but pillows poor. The hotel can be noisy as the tram stops right outside and even on the 3rd floor this was noticeable, not too bad late at night but would be if you wanted to sleep late. Breakfast is OK but there are not many other options in the area so if you wanted something different its another walk. I would use again for a short stop.

This hotel is small and in an area that is not near restaurants and shoppes. I stayed there for a short stay due to its proximity to the airport. It is clean and comfortable and was adequate. Service was fine.

Not really clean, Old fashion room and furniture, Really annoying tram noise during the whole day. Dirty Curtains and uncomfortable bed. None of the rooms has a refrigerator!!!!! Extremely bad service - Really poor English Serving a below average breakfast with limited food options rating it at 18 Euros per person! Dark area with nothing to do around. ...and YES be deterred by the outside Consider changing the name "art & design" hotel as it does not much at all hotel's interior design.

The Avidon hotel is ideal if you have to get a plane the next day and you want also visit Düsseldorf. There are two tramlines connecting to the centre directly behind the hotel. There is nearly no street-noise entering the room. The rooms are large, clean and modern. The bathroom is in comparison small. They do serve breakfast. For the overnight parking they charge a fee

Nice hotel. Not luxurious but very clean and comfortable. Close to the airport and right next to train/tram stop...but that means you hear them going by until late at night. Not recommended if you are a light sleeper and head to bed early.
