The reception staff were very accommodating, but unfortunately that was where the good ended.
Our initial room was drafty, cold had a broken sink in the bathroom worn carpet (threadbare in places) and smelled dusty.
We were upgraded to another room and given 2 comp drink vouchers from very apologetic staff.
Parking was the next issue. We paid for this but had continued problems entering or exiting the carpark as our card didn’t always work. We also found both rooms very noisy.
We were staying as one of us had an operation taking place in Dunedin so needed breakfast delivered at 6:30 am as the cut off time for eating/drinking was 7am. We were assured this would be done. Breakfast arrived at 6:45 am and was different from what we actually ordered. It was also cold. Unfortunately we had booked 3 nights for one of us to stay while the other was in hospital.
Upon checkout the reception staff were apologetic and offered a complimentary coffee and to comp the incorrect breakfast. All in all the staff were great at trying to rectify the various things that went wrong (to the point we wondered if this is constant for them). Based on our experience we definitely won’t be back.
