Nice clean, modern hotel and the staff spoke English well. The room was a good size. Very quiet, except that no fewer than 3 or 4 different people came to the room during the day to check on it - cleaners, mini-bar re-fill, etc. In terms of a good night's sleep, it was very quiet - we heard no one or nothing. My husband was in town on business, and both of us (him for work and me for sight-seeing) got around exclusively on the train or tram. They were clean, timely, and only crowded at rush hour (sometimes oppressively so). To get to the nearest station, go out the front door of the hotel and turn right. The restaurant was expensive and nothing special. Our service was poor more often than it wasn't. I'd recommend eating elsewhere - there's a bakery around the corner that would work for breakfast and/or lunch, a wonderful Italian restaurant for lunch or dinner, and again - by public transportation you can get anywhere you want. I ended up walking to a small grocery and bringing home cereal, milk, fruit, juice, etc. so that I could have breakfast in the room each day. The convenience of the hotel restaurant is nice, but you'll do better dining elsewhere, in my opinion. We had done 2 weeks of European travel prior to our arrival at this hotel, so we had quite a bit of laundry to do. The hotel doesn't have a self-service option, and I didn't want to pay to have it done, so I took the train and then walked a few blocks to a self-service laundry. I was able to figure out the vending machine and the washers and dryers without reading German, and the laundromat was clean and I felt safe. (If you find yourself interested in doing your own laundry, google "Dusseldorf self service laundry", and in 2015 someone wrote up a great review here on TripAdvisor that helped me tremendously! For starters, the term you want to find the laundromat is "SB Waschsalon". )
I spent a really good 3 days business trip is Dusseldorf because the hotel was perfect. Clean and comfortable, the breakfast was also perfect with a wide range of foods and drinks. It was easy to get the city with public transport (tram). The staff was nice and helpful. The view from the hotels window was not the best but the place is quiet.
Yes the carpet in the room could be replaced to create a more fresher look. Besides this my room on floor 10 was large with comfortable beds. I had two good nights of rest. Dinner was tastfull and breakfast was more the ok. An omelett will be made on request, enough choice. Friendly staff. A petty you have to pay for the parking.
It's a modern hotel with a good location in the business area. Everything looks quite new, the rooms are spacious, clean with very comfortable beds. Rooms are quiet and with good sound isolation so you won't have any problems to sleep and rest. Wifi is free but sometimes quite slow so take this into account if you need to work in the room and you need fast connection. Breakfast is very generous with many choices I would definitely recommend it. Up until now this is my favorite business hotel in Dusseldorf and for sure I will come back.
Little bit far away from the city but still nice place to relax. Rooms was clean and our room was also quite big. Also staff was so helpful and they spoke good english. Breakfast was good! I´m going there again if i´m going to Dusseldorf.
Does exactly what you expect it to: decent room, good location in the business area, multi-lingual staff -- nothing to complain about (loved the fresh fruit in the lobby) -- but also nothing that stood out. Will use it again for a business trip.
This hotel is in a business area with easy access to public transportation. Good workout facilities and sauna. (No pool or whirlpool.) Facilities are clean and well serviced. The restaurant has excellent food and there are a number of other excellent restaurants nearby.
Lovely Breakfast friendly staff .Always when u ask for anything they want to satisfy you.The Restaurant for dinner is not so good and overpriced. The size of the room is ok.Checking in and out was so simple and quickly.
As expected, the stay was smooth and comfortable. I like the spacious rooms and the hotel was very well located. Less than a minute away on foot from the nearest train station, and even less from the nearest bus station. The room was clean, the staff was friendly. Everything you can ask for in a short stay.
I stayed at the Courtyard Marriott Düsseldorf for one night in June, 2016. The hotel is a little outdated but provided a satisfactory experience. I would recommend the hotel for a short-time stay and return to it for the same. Room: After an early arrival I was promptly given a room. It was of average seize and included a comfortable double-bed, a desk with two additional seats, an AC, a free water bottle and a TV set. Moreover, it included a separate bathroom with a shower and bathtub. The bed and were clean but style-wise pretty outdated. Heavy carpets were combined with lots of dark wood. I assume this is what hotels must have looked like in the 80s and so it was an interesting retro experience. However, the furniture showed signs wear and could use a little refurbish. All in all, I found the room a little old-fashioned and muffy but this might also be a question of personal preferences and style. Unfortunately the wifi situation was definitely from the 80s. The hotel allowed the connection of one device with limited speed free of charge. For a speed upgrade or additional device an extra charge would have been necessary. Based on the speedofme website download speed ranged somewhere between 1.45 and 3mbps, while upload speed creeped around 1.20 mbps. With that I was able to stream a baseball game and have a facetime call in limited quality but at least I had no complete wifi blackout. However, charging for better wifi options and the snail speed of the free wifi is not acceptable in 2017 and for the class the hotel aspires to be. Service: The service personnel at check-in and check-out was extremely friendly. As stated I immediately received a room despite arriving quite early in the morning. One noticed that the hotel tries its best to make their guests feel welcome and provide a welcoming environment. The breakfast buffet was good with the usual range of standard breakfast options. Moreover, there was a small coffee to go corner in the lobby where one could take a free coffee on their way. Location: Not central. 15 minutes by subway, which is around the corner, to the city center/main station (U77/U/76). 15 minutes to the airport by taxi. Conclusion: The Courtyard Marriott Düsseldorf is certainly an option for shorter business trips. Unfortunately its shortcomings such as the old-fashioned interior and especially the slow wifi only make it a good average hotel.
