Pro: - the room is nice and big with big flat screen (usb port also); - nice shower and shampoo brand; - room cleaning every day; - office desk in the room; - fridge; - one bottle of water included and tea and coffee in the room; - the frondesk personnel was kind and helpfull; Cons: - i found and stepped on a broken glass in the first day in my room; - cleaning guys don't know english at all, they ignore the DO NOT DISTURB sign and always waked me up... even after i insisted to a guy that i don't want, he entered to my bath and started cleaning while i was half asleep; - breakfast is expensive (19Euro) and also not so good, you have buffet but they all taste not so good; -THE WORST part for me for the CONS is that the heating system was VERY VERY NOISY and not even constant noise ( room 417) ... i finally accepted the cold so i could sleep; - on the booking confirmation it said i have BIKE RENTAL included in the price, but in 8 nighs i never saw i bike available for rent ... "they are all in service" they said ... - they hold over 1000E on my credit card even after i payed cash, they released that 3 days after check out which is absurd, not even for car rental i did not had this;
Second time here in 2 month span, 4 days and 11 days. Pretty average overall. The rooms are ok but Americans will struggle with heating, generally too warm but you can open windows which helps. Slim pickings on TV channels, if English for the most part BBC. Beds are comfortable, lots of pillows more than local German hotels. Dining is above average in terms of food quality, a must try is the Julian’s filet with mushroom sauce and Rissoto! Bar is ok but staff is hit or miss, they seem over worked and not consistently pleasant. Lindear Hotel is a better option but not Marriott points!
The hotel is situated in a nice quiet location and you can get a tram into the city centre. It’s worth pointing out that the tram stops after 8pm so I had to get a taxi back from the old town. The room was very clean and comfortable with a good bathroom. I did find the lifts very frustrating. I stopped on the first floor and every lift that stopped on the descent was full. There were no stairs to get to the ground floor either. Very frustrating.
Stayed at the Marriott Courtyard for 4 nights in January during a business trip. We arrived at the hotel at around 8am hoping to check in after a 12 hour flight. We were given a room straight away which was great as we were already tired. On arrival the concierge came right out to welcome us and to take our luggage. We were also offered free coffee tea and fruit right next to the check in desk too. Once we got into the room we found the rooms to be well equipped and of a decent size. The wifi in the hotel was one of the best I have had in Europe as generally most hotels only have mediocre wifi coverage. The hotel is close to the tram station which is within a 1 minute walking distance away. The team takes around 15 minutes to the center of town which is very convenient. Pros: Decent breakfast, close to the tram station, not too far from the airport, super comfy beds, great staff, cheaper then other close by hotels, the concierge guy was very nice and welcoming (A+) Cons: price can vary during conventions in the city, very much a business hotel as there are no amenities like gym or pool.
Hotel was neat with professional staff and breakfast was nice. Monika in the restaurant was very amiable and Nice. Hotel Is just across the road to the bus station and 2mins walk to the train station. The area is quiet. My only problem was a change in our room to a smaller room, had a 4day break in between our stay. Wasn’t really happy about it and complained to front desk but was told it’s same, which wasn’t. Would have been a perfect stay if not for this
The location for this hotel is awesome for a budget friendly option. Two minute walk to the train station which allows you access to the entire City. We were there at the end of a cruise for the Rolling Stones Concert in Oct. 2017 and spent three days. My experience with their customer service that was so stellar accord at the end of our stay. I had not booked a third night as I had thought I had and we were out of the room the entire afternoon of when we should have checked out. Upon returning to the hotel I was informed of my error and told of sold out status for that evening. Gentleman offered to try and book us at another property, which was too far for me from airport, We were frantically putting our bags together to allow housekeeping opp to turn room. Upon arriving back in the U.S.A. I determined that I had left a favorite shirt hanging in the closet. I spoke with hotel who graciously shipped my missed belongings back to me in Texas. They could have by all rights charged me for an additional night since our late checkout was indeed my fault, yet they were helpful, and again returned a favorite shirt to me for a very very small shipping cost. Thanks for a great stay for the Rolling Stones Concert as well as outstanding customer service from all.
We wanted to bring my in laws to Dusseldorf to enjoy the Christmas markets. Our choice fell to this hotel. Located outside the city center in Seestern across the river. But I didn’t mind because their was a metro less than 100 meters away. Downside after 8 pm it stops than you need to walk about 8 minutes. But we were with 4 and with a taxi was just 16€ compared with 10€ by metro. The checkin was really fast and smooth. Hotel and room looks and feels great. Solid beds. WiFi was very good and fast. Tv has all the channels you want like bbc etc. Below is a private parking but at 18€ a day without a chance to leave and come at no extra costs quite expensive. Also disappointing that free parking was quite far away at 11 minutes walk. What also disappointed was the water pressure in the shower. Very poor. Breakfast on Sunday is a must. Because there is no other food spots that’s open close by.19€ is quite expensive, but seems to be good if very very crowded.you get discount when u book online. But all in all it was a great stay and very very good value at 65€. Much more ch better than holiday inn hafen
I stayed here for Business and found it to be a very good Business hotel. Rooms are large, bathrooms are American style with large tubs and showers. Staff is very good. Hotel has a good restaurant on site, Julian’s and I had a good breakfast, nice lunch. Tomato soup was very good and served hot. Overall staff is very good met on arrival by a professional and friendly desk staff. Easy to get to appointments from this location. This is a clean and very good choice.
I am staying here quite often for business. Quick check-in process. The rooms are always top notch. There is really only one thing...in the breakfast restaurant is ONLY ONE SINGLE coffee maker where you have to wait in line if its a little busy there. I am sure a 2nd one could improve the whole situation. Otherwise its all good!
Had working session in conference center and stayed in the hotwl for 4 days. Rooms was compact, but sufficient for single person. The restaurant had limited options, so was little boring for dinner. The breakfast had a good spread which remained same all the days. The old town is quite easily reachable by U-bahn from just opposite to the hotel.
