Stayed at this hotel for my honeymoon and it was lovely! Perfect location (close, but far enough away from old town) near gorgeous beaches and promenades. The breakfast is the best I had in Croatia. The concierge desk was extremely kind and helpful as well.
Outstanding location and see view rooms The Hotel is about 10 Minutes by car outside of Dubrovnik and very quiet. The business rooms are modern and the service is excellent. The old city of Dubrovnik is a must and I recommend a tour guide. As there arrive many cruise ships I recommend to find a time to visit the city later in the afternoon.
This is our second visit this year, to Croatia as the country is extremely beautiful and has a fascinating history. We have stayed at the President as the hotel is deserving of its 5 Star Rating. The food is absolutely delicious, as a vegetarian I was delighted to find plenty of creative vegetarian fayre for me to enjoy and vegans would be equally delighted with the variety. My husband is a meat eater and obviously he was catered for too! The hotel is gorgeous, all the rooms have sea views with spacious balconies to witness the most spectacular sunsets. The staff are exceptional - professional courteous and genuinely want to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.
Stayed at the sister hotel lacroma which allowed us to use the private beach area of the President. You have to go through the hotel to get to the beach and it looks amazing and all the staff we came across were excellent, we went snorkelling and swimming 3 times it's a very good peaceful area which you can also go diving and hire jet skis from.
Last day at this five star hotel and we thought we would spend it relaxing on the beach in the sunshine. Spending the day swimming and snorkelling. To our surprise half the beach was closed off "to push the beach back". Not what we were expecting and slightly disappointed
My new husband and I went here for a mini honeymoon. The staff were amazing, so polite and most spoke perfect English. On arrival we were greeted with two glasses of nonalcoholic champagne (nice touch). Hotel was very spacious and luxurious. The buffet breakfast had a lot to offer and being a vegetarian I was happy to have lots of choices going from healthy options to yummy Nutella and pancakes. We were on the 6th floor so we had a great view of the sea but I can imagine some rooms below would have a different view. The room was very clean and spacious. The outdoor and indoor pools are a good size and peaceful. The piano bar has lot to offer on a nice evening sitting under stars. The beach is small and stoney like most beaches in Croatia, but the water is so clear and refreshing. Staff are always around at the private beach to bring you drinks/food so you can stay relaxed. The bus goes from straight outside the hotel into the old town. We had a fabulous relaxing time.
Outstanding hotel! Facilities are great, the sea view unique and all the staff is looking to help. We stayed in a bedroom with terrace over the sea which provided an spectacle sunset. Highly recommended and would definitely come back!
This hotel has a lot to offer but could be even better. The rooms are spacious, all have sea views and large balconies with sunbeds and/or tables and chairs. The private beach is lovely and free. It has plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas. Towels are provided. The sea is very clean and clear. It's a stony beach but ok as long as you bring the sort of beach shoes you can swim in. Against this, for a five star hotel (even in a resort) the staff could be better trained. It is often difficult to attract their attention. The room was kept reasonably clean but on 2 or 3 occasions the glasses and cups were not washed! They were however very polite, friendly and helpful when you did get their attention. The standard of food for breakfast was great, but the evening buffet was poor. The food was, at best, very ordinary and certainly not worth the price charged. There are not many restaurants nearby but it is worth going into Dubrovnik where there are plenty of places to eat in great surroundings but the city is very expensive. The hotel is about 4/5 miles for Dubrovnik old town and although the bus service is very frequent, it is also very crowded. This is a very comfortable hotel with a beautiful beach and great rooms. Although expensive,it is probably worth the money.
Not a 5* hotel - service ok but not 5*, hotel clean, restaurants were ok but food was not great would even describe it as being mediocre, facilities and location ok. Much nicer restaurants nearby - all in all a 3* experience rather than a 5*.
Had a wonderful afternoon drink in the out door bar area, comfortable low couches and high chairs. Beautiful view but with slow service, so be prepared. But nonetheless the view made it all worth the wait.
