This property has such potential to be charming but it falls very short. It’s not well maintained or updated. Luckily, we only needed an overnight stay because we would not have wanted to stay longer.

Room was in good condition but the hot water in bathroom was sooo hot that it almost burned the skin. Also heard a continuous sound of what sounded like water running but couldn't figure out where it was coming from. We were going to report on checkout but the office didn't open until 10am and we left at 9am.

Decent overall, but uncomfortable

Basic motel, relatively clean, good location in Dubois. However, mattresses and pillows are very worn and the definition of uncomfortable, and the HVAC system ranks among the loudest. For a one night stay on the way, why not, but you may not sleep well--I sure did not.

Poor experience

Terrible check in. Could not find my booking with name, phone number or confirmation number. Difference was first name. Embarrassed in front of 6 people behind me. Staff person apologized a few times to the people in line but not once to me. Property description states restaurant attached and that is not true. Following morning the office does not open till 10 am so had to leave before I could ask questions. Noisy night with tv from neighboring room till 1 am.

Difficult check in

Stagecoach Inn claimed they did not have a reservation for us. I did show them the Hotels.com email confirmation but still they did not "see" it in their system. We were told they did have a room available but for $100 more than the price we booked through Hotels.com. My husband was able to get into the Hotels.com system and found the reservation # and suddenly the front desk person found it in their system as well. Check in was very stressful. I really don't know if they were trying to scam us but beware!

It was a fantastic stay. The room had everything we needed and was a great size. I think the motel is very well run and we were even asked on day two if we needed more towels. We felt taken care of and would definitely come again.
