Nice and clean. awesome relax and pool. do visit the real and have a go for the steam sauna and then do the "bucket"...refreshing! very nice room. good burger at the bar! easy to access and alright parking area. well worth the money. For me personally, the breakfast wasn't that much to cheer for but from what i did eat all tasted very good. Coffe was from a machine and that was a shame as i prefer brewed coffee in the morning, not cappuccino or latte.
we can only recommend it and were absolutely happy with this choice has enriched this football weekend very much. The food was recommendable not too much different for that just very good kitchen, very friendly service and good prices. We were very well :-)
Thoroughly enjoyable hotel. Clean, modern, spacious with a superb breakfast. Instead of paying for a minibar, the hotel provides flat and sparkling water without charge. The bar is a pleasant experience with competent and friendly staff. Ditto for the reception. Attending a concert at the Westfalenhalle, the hotel is just a short and comfortable walk away.
Ideal Hotel for a Dortmund Game, walking distance to the ground, decent size & clean rooms , good breakfast & a good pool & sauna. Would like to thank staff for making it a special weekend & there knowledge of Dortmund (Transport Links etc) probably only downside is it’s quite a distance to city centre but has a tram/underground station within 5-10 minute walk. Would thoroughly recommend for a Football stay(Stuttgart were guests as well)
Stayed here for 3 nights as we were going to a football match . Perfect location for the stadium as you can walk over in 15mins. Otherwise not the best location for bars and places to eat in walking distance , you have to get the train into town which is very quick and easy to use. Although there is no staff present at the train station so have to use a bit of guess work when purchasing tickets from the machine. The two male hotel bar staff at night were great , and super friendly they definitely made our stay at this hotel more enjoyable . At check in I was handed my room key and told nothing else. She didn’t explain to us what time breakfast was , what the pool hours were etc . And she also took a phone call whilst handing me the card and not speaking which I found quite rude . I also wasn’t told that they put holds on your bank card during your stay . The first one was €50 and the second €30 . I had to go back to reception to ask what the charges were for when they explained it’s only a hold and will be removed. This isn’t a problem but when nobody tells you beforehand it causes unecessary confusion , and should tell you this at check in ! We found the evening service for dinner quite slow and the two girls serving not very friendly or helpful.
Located 10 minutes walk from the home of Borussia Dortmund's Signal Iduna Park, this hotel offers everything you could wish for. Excellent service throughout, rooms are comfortable and exceptionally clean. Beware the city tax that is added to the cost when you stay but this applies to all Dortmund Hotels. We travelled to watch Borussia Dortmund but you would never have known there were football fans within the hotel. The bar is excellent and food is good quality. Transport links are good with the 'U' station 5 minutes walk away. Dortmund city centre is less than 10 minutes on the train and the city centre is excellent for food, bars and shopping. Great hotel overall
Got here thinking at first all was great but over time everything seemed to go wrong. I had already paid for my stay and the hotel charged me an extra £200 with absolutely no warning no one told me anything and refused to give it back when I complained. The duvet on a double bed was separated into 2 which was extremely uncomfortable the pillows weren’t comfortable. When used the shower it poured out onto the floor no matter the angle of the hose. On the last night of the stay which isn’t the fault of the hotel obsenely loud music was blaring into our room in the middle of the night- called reception to make a complaint and no one answered - wouldn’t come again, everyone was nice enough but not helpful at all
Very nice hotel, with very nice staff and amenities! Ideally located for Borussia Dortmund football club, although transport links make the city centre very accessible. The staff are very helpful, although there could have been a few more pre and post match!
I booked a room at the Radisson Blu on the recommendation of the friends I was visiting in Dortmund. However, I was rather disappointed with aspects of my stay. I arrived tired and stressed after a difficult drive in bad conditions from Düsseldorf, only to find that there was a function at the hotel and therefore no parking spaces available. Fortunately, I was able to park in an adjacent car park for free. The room itself was comfortable and clean. However, on my last evening I returned to find that my room had not been looked after as well as I had expected. There was a dirty coffee cup remaining from the morning and the teas and coffees and the tissues had not been replenished. Small things, but it’s the details that make a hotel stand out! I was quite shocked that at breakfast people were left wandering around trying to find a table to sit at. Items on the breakfast buffet ran out and weren’t replaced quickly enough. There were no large plates for the hot buffet. At one point both coffee machines needed replenishing at the same time. There just didn’t appear to be enough staff. Only on Monday morning did I find the breakfast experience relaxing. The food choice was good and the quality of food fine. On one of the mornings of my stay the lifts failed. The stairs at my end of the hotel did not give access to the reception area and I was unsure how to get down as I couldn’t find anyone on my floor who spoke English. My friend was waiting for me and had to direct a member of the reception staff to come up and help me find my way down. There was no signage that directed me to the stairs.
Excellent experience at this hotel. The check in was fast and friendly. The room was clean, modern and the climate control worked well (often a concern in Europe with rooms being too hot...but it was pleasant here). The gym and spa area is very nice. Spacious, clean and very well designed layout. All nude in the sauna and steam room, which is typical in Germany. Breakfast was great. Lots of options and the food was delicious.
