The stay overall ok but as I arrived to my room the first thing I saw was band add on the floor - used ☹️😷. The is not a nice thing to see as "first impression" of a room. Breakfast: after haveing eaten just a little from my plate I went to get another glass of juice. Coming back to my table I realized that my playe, coffie and other stuff had been removed. As this was 10 min before ending of the breakfast 9.50 I was in a hurry and so was the staff. It really felt like they were so much in a hurry that they wanted to show me and a Brazilian coupple out very fast. Not Radisson standard. So, only 1 star😤.
I spend one night in this hotel my room was standard twin room. Windows to highway not noisy anyway. Room was clean and well equipped minibar had anyhow only water. Wifi was fast and well working. Bed was very good. Bathroom was spacious and well working. Breakfast was one of best in Germany I have had. Price level is not low but you get value for the money.
A good sized and clean room with good aircon. We didn't use the leisure or eating facilities. A short walk takes you to the Tram station (underground), from where you can get into the Main Station (from where you can walk into the centre). The park next to the hotel is closed to the public, but you can find a relatively quiet route around the outside.
If you want a silent sleep better chose not this Hotel. All Rooms to the front side gets all the noise from events until the end. You can avoid this by closing windows if you don t like fresh air. All rooms in each floor which are directly build to the lifts are a nightmare. For this noise you have no Action point against it. Friendly escalation at Front Desk gets this help : "We will inform Management". That's it. No Sorry, No Compensation, nothing. They don t care about their clients.
A very well maintained property with fantastic rooms, great indoor pool and one of the finest breakfast menu you will see. The staff are friendly. However, availability can be an issue as the hotel is always full and rates can really go up if you book closer to your travel. Also, be aware of any football matches in Dortmund and plan your travel accordingly as rooms will be impossible to find
We arrived here pretty late and tired caused by problems with flights. We got upgrade to Superior room anyhow the lady at check-in was pretty cold and unwelcoming. Something that I didn't want to feel after very long day. Room was nice and spacious but pretty dark. I didn't really understand functionality of lights. Bed was very comfy as always in Radisson Blus but I was missing the pillow menu which is available at most of the Blus. That was kind of minus. Bathroom was ok but outdated comparing rest of the rooms. Sauna/Wellness area was good. Gym is better than most of the Radisson Blus. Swimming pool was positive surprise and Saunas were OK. Only minus was that you don't get sauna towel from there but you have to take towels from your room. Not very handy. Maybe it is different during later day but we were there pretty early as morning swim and no staff available. They have extremely good and enterprising concierge service even they couldn't solve my other problem. However they could book us to sold-out English Stadion Tour and we were very, very happy! Special thanks to Sonja R. Breakfast was very good as always in Blus but variety was a bit limited. No smoothies, no omelette-chef for example, which are normally standards at Blu's breakfast. Staff was very nice at breakfast especially Maher N., points for him. One huge minus was that housekeeping came in to our room 11:20am, even we had do not disturb stand on the door, and said it is time to check out. The check out time is 12:00... That was something I really don't like to see as a gold member. Location is very good for the Messe and Signal Iduna Park but for someone it could be slightly too far from city centre. Though, that didn't bother us.
Although it is far from city center ( 4-5 stops with U) it compensates with its spa facilities and nice quiet surrounding. Restaurant good but with limited menu. Breakfast is very good and rich. Try the business rooms.
Very clean hotel, located less than a mile walk from Signal Iduna. There aren't many dining options near the hotel, but it's a 10-15 minute walk to the nearest u-bahn, and 2 stops from the city center. They have as restaurant that serves a large breakfast buffet, and a comfortable bar for a late night drink.
The staff needs to be more efficient, and the payment/charge system, or whatever they call it or try to put the blame on, needs to be replaced! I booked for 2 rooms and the total charge was supposed to be around Euro1,100 for our entire stay for both rooms (initially 4 nights without breakfast). Anyway, upon check in they pre-authorized me for the 2 rooms Euro850/room, ok fine, however, around 2am I received an sms from my credit card issuer informing me that my card was charged again for around Euro 250!! I asked the staff at the reception the next morning and they put the blame on their automatic billing system and promised that they will fix it. Next day around 1am I received another sms that my card was charged again around Euro 160, again they promised to fix all problems but cancelled only the last trxn! I was supposed to stay with my family for 4 nights but left after the third night and upon check out, instead of completing the pre-authorized amount blocked at check-in, they apparently tried to perform a totally new trxn for the total bill of Euro1,570 which was refused by my issuer due to insufficient fund. No wonder to have insufficient funds in the card if the hotel keeps charging my card during my stay!! I tried to explain to the person in charge at the reception that she should not try to authorize a new amount but use the pre-authorized amount at check-in, but she didn't want to understand, and as arrogant as some people can be, she concluded immediately that without paying the euro1,570 she will not check me out! So I had to use my other US Dollar card to settle the amount in and was charged by my issuer for an extra $78 charge for using a US Dollar card in a Euro country, while the limit of my Euro card was totally blocked by the hotel because of the inexperienced and incompetent staff! I was really disappointed! I travel almost once every month on business trips all over the world but have never experienced such thing! I had the privilege that my credit card issuer sends me sms messages for every transaction performed on my cards, but for those who don't have this service, they really need to pay very good attention!!! Besides that, they have couple of employees that need intensive training course on 'HOW TO SMILE', especially at the breakfast area and the bar (mostly males need to attend this course)!
I stayed in this hotel for a thre nights during a april. We booked double bed room for a two adults and extra bed for child, month ago, and we have paid requested amount. When we arrived there was a first unpleasant information from girl frm reception, that we had to pay extra money for that extra bed. Why? We don't know, because we allready folloved the rules and informations about prices on the official hotel web site. WAIT! There were more surprises from a reception stuff. We decided to pay for that extra bed and breakfast for next day, the same blond lady from receptiom, by her fault, take out from our credit account whole price (three night stay + extra bed again, etc. . etc ). After arguing, we finally solved (her) mistake and received our money. Rooms are decent, nothing special, but clean. Pillows are pretty useless. If You want to get ionough towels, or othes accesories (soapr, bathing coats, to remove used glasses, etc ) for every member of your family, You have to remember cleaning stuff every morning. On the other hand, breakfast was excellent, but it is expected in four star hotel.
