Hotel was very clean, rooms cleaned every morning and location is good right in the city. Football museum across the road from Hotel as kids wanted to visit. Breakfast had excellent food variety and fresh. The only negative is that we were overlooking at the train station but kids really enjoyed this as they kept counting carriages on the trains.
we had a super amazing stay. Very spacious rooms and very nice breakfast buffet. Lovely modern décor throughout and very comfortable beds. We booked in advance and had a very good rate. Really cant fault it. Thank you
It is a great hotel in walking distance to main station, 15 minutes walk to city center with fantastic staff and their service and delicious breakfast with varieties. I would stay again in this hotel, if I visit again. What I missed was the coffee maker in the room. I was provided by the hotel staff upon request. You may need to do the same if you are a coffee lover. If you are in business trip, remind front desk staff during your check out, then you will be waived with city tax.
The hotel is situated a few steps from the main station and close to the inner city. The room was clean and very comfortable and elegant. The staff was the best I have ever experienced, a super friendly young lady helped us with all I and my toddler needed. For instance staying a bit longer than the already generous check out at 5pm on sunday was no problem, saving us from waiting in the dark and cold for our train for the rest of our trip. Breakfast was amazing, there was also a special kids corner. Overall the best experience I had in a hotel!
Hotel NH Dortmund is very near to the Dortmund station and the room is large with separate couch & working table plus free fast WiFi. Break fast also good with continental items. It is a good hotel to stay for someone to sleep over on the way to another city. It took some time to identify the entrance at night.
Hotel location is excellent, you can reach it by minute from railwaystation, by car you can reach parking hall underground.Breakfast has wide range of delicious dishes. -near hotel you can find different museums and shopping centers
Amazing customer service and everything made easy, we arrived at 9am and couldn't check in till 3pm, hotel held our bags for us and they also let us check in an hour or so early as our room was ready. Also kept our bags for us on the day we were leaving until we needed to go to the airport so we could go around the city without our suitcase. We had our football tickets delivered to the hotel and they signed for them and kept them for us and gave to us on arrival, we didn't even need to ask. Very efficient service. Rooms are more like mini apartment with living area, bathroom and bedroom. Very modern and clean. We were on the 6th floor with a great view looking toward the U Tower. Looks great at night. Next to train station, over the road from German football museum and overall a good location and close to everything. Signal Iduna Park is a €12 taxi ride. Airport was €27 if I remember right. When I go back to see Borussia Dortmund I'll be using this hotel again if the price is the same. Price seems to if shot up when I've been looking recently for April.
I stayed here for 1 night only on 1 January 18 and to be honest, 1 night was enough. There is so much wrong with this hotel that someone needs to take a good look at its operation. I booked an 'apartment' which is really a suite. The sitting room was large but the bedroom is tiny and both rooms were freezing cold. In fairness, the hotel provide a couple of heaters and the room warmed up quite nicely. The toilet was faulty - sometimes it flushed, sometimes not. There seems to be an issue with the tank filling up. The shower (no bathtub) was great but didn't drain quickly enough and consequently, water overflowed into the bathroom. The Nespresso-type coffee machine had not been cleaned since the previous guest and was full of used capsules. As for breakfast - it was a total rip off. Almost 25 Euros for food which was cold and weak coffee. The cold buffet was nice but the hot stuff had been there since the breakfast service started. I was very unhappy with both the price and quality of the breakfast. How the hotel thinks 25 Euros for this breakfast is acceptable is beyond my understanding. There is a smoking area right outside the door and the ashtray was overflowing with cigarette ends and the bin surrounded by rubbish. The whole entrance was full of used cigarette ends on the floor. Disgusting. In fairness the staff I met were friendly but it seems nobody is actually overseeing this place and it shows. I have ti say, the price I paid was excellent but to call it a 4 star hotel is just no true. It could be nice but at the moment it is not even as good as some of the budget chains.
We loved the room. We only stayed for 2 nights, but the bed was amazing and the room very big. We will definetely go to an NH again. We didn't take the breakfast because we wanted to enjoy the Christmas Market, but it looked and smelled amazing in the morning so it must be good :)
Very spacious room, USB charging points for small electronic devices. Air conditioned and very high powered shower. Very quiet with exception to the occasional horn from the taxi rank. No train or other traffic noise. Could of done with tea and coffee making facilities within the room and the erratic functioning of the room/lift cards was frustrating. we would definitely use this hotel again.
