It’s a SCAM!!!
This is a Scam.
If you’re traveling from far away like the United States do yourself a favor and do NOT stay in this property.
The depiction of the property is completely different from what you get when showing up at the place.
You get some generic instructions with a supposed code a few days before your due date but then get new instructions the day of. By now there’s no way you can go back. You’ve already traveled to the country.
The new instructions were a video of one minute. The video is literally the Real Estate person walking down steep stone stairways the whole time.
The entrance of the property was not by the main garden door. It was down a meandering of stairs that kept going around and in a loop passing between several houses until you show up in front of the actual apartment door you’ve leased.
This was through the main driveway which apparently was leased in common and you only have the right to walk through but not to stop or park.
In fact we were chased away from one of the “many” homeowners when trying to unload the luggage from the car. Being that this is very remote area you cannot move around without a car so not being able to park a car anywhere is just useless.
And, would you want to carry all your luggages through a narrow stone stairwell that meanders for one minute before you make it to the actual door? None of this was disclosed in the posting or the details.
When asking to speak to the owner, the Agent provided a non-working email address….
