The hotel is in a convenient location and the rooms are nice. However our issue is with the food pricing. The restaurant menu is rather expensive and the wine list all very expensive for what is on offer. Given the proximity to the town, we found a very nice restaurant with a good atmosphere within a 5 minute walk. The biggest issue we had was with the breakfast. When we checked in we were advised that the breakfast would be 9 euros. This was also backed up by the information in the room. Breakfast itself was fine, plenty of bread, some fruit, cheese and good coffee etc. When we came to pay, we were advised that the cost was 10 euros as we had booked online. The receptionist would not accept that we were advised otherwise, and when she offered to prove it in the terms and conditions, she could not. Obviously the price itself was not the issue, it is the principle that we were mislead on the price and they would not back down on this. In conclusion, the food prices were high, and then we were mislead on the breakfast prices
Have been ther for one night with our 3 kids and 2 dogs. Was a stopover on our way to Southern France. Hotel is good and clean but nothing special. Rooms are quite small but tidy and having all you need apart from air conditioning. The location is perfect. Close to the highway and next to the park. The restaurant was offering a barbeque in the evening which was really good. Good starters and different kinds of meat and fish. Would chose this hotel again for a short stay.
We stayed here going down through France, as a family with two children and a dog. For a very reasonable price we had a two bedroom suite. We didn't eat in the restaurant, and the area is very quiet, so we had to go into Dijon town centre to find something to eat. There's a nice park close by where you can walk the dog.
This hotel is in a lovely location in relation to the park. Lovely to walk through. The room is nice. Bit on the small side though. The hotel has a restaurant and bar but the menu looks a bit expensive. 18€ - 32€ and doesn't start serving until 1930hrs. There is nothing close that serves food earlier either, so I ordered a pizza to be delivered to eat in my room. The Wifi is terrible. Wouldn't connect for ages, then when it did, the speed was useless. So I turned it off. I think for the price I payed for the room (80 euros) I've stopped in much better for the money. The staff are very friendly. I don't think I would stop here again unless the room was much cheaper.
We chose the hotel because it belongs to the "logis de france" group, which generally is really good. We were not disappointed. The hotel is in a quiet area, romms recently renovated (VERY high quality installations in the bathroom), very fast check-in, friendly personnel, good beds. We could not try the restaurant, because it was closed on sunday, but the bar had a nice terrasse with a strong smell of the jasmine tree near-by. The only negative point is the missing air conditioning - you have to keep the window open, and there are moskitoes in the area.
A twin room on the first floor saw us again crammed into a small room. Dated finishing, carpets that had seen better days, heaters that don't work, only 5 stay put hangers in what passes for a cupboard. A bench runs under the window so there's a place to sit at (almost) but no tea or coffee facilities. The shower is a hand held and doesn't hook into anything. The beds aren't as hard as others we have had on this trip and the sheets appear clean although the pillows are appalling uncomfortable and only one each. The restaurant was very expensive with the smallest bowl of minestrone soup costing 13€ served with only 1 roll and no butter. The beef looked a better meal but was in the 20€ prove bracket. A bus tour group was in for the night which may explain why they were so full. Renovations appear to be mentioned in places in the hotel, probably best to wait until they are completed. Consoled ourselves that it is only one night and we'll be in Paris tomorrow.
I don't enjoy writing negative reviews but I cannot be positive about this hotel and after a long drive from the UK you do expect something better so please choose carefully. The fittings and decor are decidedly average as are the rooms and quality of the beds. The restaurant attached to the hotel has nice decor and was welcoming but the 3 course meal was overpriced and lacked quality and content whilst one of the servers could have had the Morrissey (whose concert we were on our way to in Italy) song, 'Heaven knows I'm miserable now' written especially for her. The park opposite looked nice and worth exploration but not much else to recommend!
We stayed one night with a group for business trip. Hotel is clean but rooms are a bit small. Rooms looking at the street are not to recommend. Better ask for other rooms looking at the parc. Take a drink on the terrace before going down town, you will enjoy.
We've stayed here a number of times, to break our journey to southern France, from UK. The refurbished rooms are 2.5*, modern, clean but small & the restaurant food is formulaic (they couldn't produce France's favorite dish!) & a little pricy. However the Parc de la Colombiere, across the road is a GR8 favorite with our dog, Callisto. It's of good size with large trees & a small animal zoo - ideal for a relaxing stroll before supper. Foreigners will need GPS to find it.
we booked last minute after a long drive, we booked a triple room with a baby cot - but when the cot was put up there was no floor space left. the room was clean and had recently been redecorated - was just a little small - i think they are in the middle of redecorating. The TV didnt work - but wifi was working fine. The staff were very helpful and accommodated being vegetarian despite no options on the menu.
