A serene, clean and peaceful spot
I am a full time Mom of a disabled child. He had surgery 3 weeks ago, so I have been 24/7 caring for him as he heals. I had 24 hours to getaway and have always wanted to stay in a yurt. This popped up and was available last minute and was only 1.5 hours from my house. Upon my arrival, I contacted the property manager Josh as I didn’t get the arrival instructions from VRBO. He called me immediately and told me where to go. Parking was easy, but is a little walk to the camping spot. The property was clean and the path well marked with arrows. There is a relaxing hammock nestled in the area as well as a rope swing and plenty of firewood to make a fire. The Yurt was pristine clean. It was decorated in a neat, rustic vibe. It has rope lighting around the interior which gives it a softly lit nighttime ambiance. It has a small shelving space with pots, pans as well as coffee, hot chocolate and cookies and even board games and crossword books!! What a thoughtful little touch. A cooler is provided for your food items. There was a small wood burning stove and place to heat your water or cook on. Wood and gloves are provided for its use. A flashlight, small speaker, light controls and small time/temp clock were also provided. The owner even had his daughter bring me a multi plug light/charging box! How thoughtful. There is a clean, well kept port-a-potty located in the parking lot for guests use. It has hand sanitizer and wipes providedIt was exactly what I needed!
