Extraordinary stay at beach hotel Dhigurah. From pick up to drop off it was by far one of the best places we have stayed at. Starting off with the staff/management. They went above and beyond to help you, probably some of the hardest workers we have seen during our travels. From dusk to dawn these people are working hard and always have a huge smile on their face and go out of their way to greet you at all hours of the day. They are so well organized from pick up at the airport, boat ride to the island, transfer to the hotel and during our stay it was hassle free. Isham (the manager) was there to greet us upon arrival at the hotel. He gave us information about the island and exchanged WhatsApp’s so if we had any questions during our stay he would help us (which we did and he always responded quickly!) he organized, along with his staff excursions for whale shark snorkeling (which we were lucky to see !) fishing (which they cooked our catch the next day) scuba diving and even our sea plane back to Male (

Pros: - Great location, very close to bikini beach - Lovely, friendly staff (Farhad, the Myanmar girls, Metun, everyone was wonderful and made our stay pleasant) - Tasty food & good breakfast - Comfortable beds Cons: - Ishan from the hotel booked us a whale shark & manta combined excursion. During the excursion we overheard it was only for whaleshark and we only saw the manta because we didn’t find the whaleshark for a few moments in the end in non clear water as the sun had set. Also, no one informed us about the plankton in the water and my husband got an allergic reaction which meant he shouldn’t sunbathe or swim (then what’s the purpose of being in the Maldives?!) - Limited space in the room to hang wet clothes from the beach - No communication beforehand about the booked speedboat, we had to figure it out ourselves in the airport - European standards pricing but I don’t believe the staff is getting paid at the same level.

Our stay had highs and lows. The best part was the incredible staff - always friendly and helpful. The hotel was also spotless, thanks to the amazing cleaner. Another highlight was its location, just steps from Bikini Beach, making it easy to enjoy the beautiful shoreline. However, there were several issues. We booked a room with a balcony and sea view but got a small window facing a brick wall. Management first denied the mistake, then blamed Expedia, despite Expedia confirming the hotel controlled the listing. The hotel refused to take responsibility or offer compensation. The bathroom had a persistent drain smell, which returned every time we used the shower. With no balcony or large window, airing it out was impossible. Breakfast was meant to be European-style but was a strange mix of foods—though you could order an omelette. Many excursions were cancelled due to low sign-ups. The whale shark trip, advertised as exclusive for hotel guests, was shared with 16 others from different hotels, some of whom paid less than we did. It lasted seven hours instead of four, with no proper food provided. The house reef excursion was lovely, but guides seemed more focused on filming for social media than helping guests. While the staff were fantastic, management lacked accountability. With better organisation, this hotel could be amazing.

Wir haben uns wirklich sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen auf jeden Fall wieder! Das Hotel ist super organisiert und es hat alles reibungslos geklappt! Die Lage mit der Nähe zum Bikini Beach ist 1A! Tolles und freundliches Personal, schöne saubere Zimmer mit bequemen Betten. Es gibt täglich neues Wasser und das Frühstück war auch gut.

Det bästa placering i ön, närmaste Bikini Beach, slipper man gå långt som alla andra turister. Fin snorkling om man gå söder ca 1km där finns sköldpaddor, även såg en liten haj och fina koraller. Ta med er en enkel hängmatta att binda fast mellan palmerna, super bekvämt.
