I was visit in July for my Business meeting for my textile company. I was stay 2 days in Pan pacific Sonargaon Hotel. The hotel service is awesome. Most important that the pool is awesome. I like it so much. Also room was clean have also gym which is so big and every equipment on there. Love it. I will visit again.
I was in Dhaka on official business and stayed at this hotel for three nights. I am usually very skeptical about room service but was very happy with the two meals that I ordered. The breakfast area faces the poolside and has an old world charm to it. My room was large and well appointed. My only complaint is that I could hear the street noise from my room. Service was courteous, friendly and efficient.
The Pan Pacific Sonargaon is centrally located and an idyll in the hectic Dhaka. However, you have to bring a lot of time to reach it (because of permanently high traffic volumes). The pool area with bar & coffee and the garden swing is an oasis. The lobby invites you to linger and small talk with other business people. Very attentive, friendly and courteous staff. Food is good and you always find something.
Stayed here several times. New rooms are good and comfortable, rest of hotel is tired. Pool area nice, well equipped gym that needs some maintenance (treadmills slip constantly)and pool bar and main restaurant staff very good and helpful. Breakfast has improved with some good healthy options. Security also good for Dhaka standards. Biggest issue at moment is an offensive, sewerage like smell going through whole building, outdoor areas and rooms (via the a/c). Realize it’s just Dhaka but it’s pretty average, even if beyond hotel control! The smell comes and goes, but when it’s there it’s not good...
very good and nice hotel, clean and comfortable, quest come from many countries, it offer more facilities such as swimming pool, spa and fitness center, the food are very taste and there are many kind of food and drink at cafe of hotel.
Central location, shopping, restaurants near. About 30 min. from the airport, plus traffic jam. Do not hope that the traffic jam lets up early morning at 3 am (trucks). Stayed here for a week. Security is very tight. Very friendly staff. They are helpful, but what you agree with one member is not valid with the next one. Check-out is very bureaucratic. Rooms are big enough and AC works. TV works, BBC, CNN is available. Net works well. Bed is very comfortable. Room staff always comes for checking anything - no matter you hang out the DO NOT DISTURB. Business centre open all night (print out, scan etc.). Shuttle bus needs to be booked in advance! Three restaurants in the hotel, the buffet, steak house and the pool cafe. All offering good food, super local desserts. Breakfast is excellent, local and international food. Dim-sum, soup, excellent fruit selection. Not too spicy. Restaurants are not fully booked even in the evening. Shortage of seats maybe at the pool. Only one type of canned beer is available. Now renovations works are in progress. (High time...)
Stayed in this hotel for a conference. The service by staff in all areas were very good. Security outside and inside was very prominent and attentive. I had forgotten my charger in one of the meeting room and hotel staff was able to locate it for me. Buffet breakfast had a lot of variety to choose from. The room is spacious although somehow outdated, with the expected facilities. Enjoyed my stay in this hotel.
Hotel location is perfect with wide range of facilities. Shopping malls around of it..really like hotel food and service.. ..although it’s a old hotel and renovation going on.. hopefully rooms quality get better in future..
I stayed at this hotel for 2N on business. The hotel is in need of a makeover but I could tell that the management was doing its best to make it seem like a 5* hotel. The room rate and restaurant menu prices are very expensive for Dhaka. I had a bad experience at the ground floor restaurant where I waited almost an hour for my dinner (US$25 per dish puts it in the fine dining league in any major city in the world). The next table of 3 ordered at the same time as me and had finished their dinner but my dinner was still nowhere in sight. Other than this, it was a comfortable stay.
