This came as a recommendation from my colleagues. The hotel right at the cross road and doesn’t have a drive way or portico. However from the time of check in - I did notice serious lags in service and behaviour. The room was very spacious, but however don’t expect any superior supplies or even basic fruits in the room. The tv is hung from the roof like old fashioned motels. The first day they sent fruits to the room, however when I requested the second day for fruits, it was charged a 1000tk. For fruits! When enquired, I have been told it is like this in “ALL” hotels. Certainly not in the ones I have stayed before and most certainly not going to come back here again. Ordered khichdi in the room and it was sent back twice as it tasted nothing like one. Once I had to go to kitchen and explain as well, as it was difficult to communicate on phone given our language differences. Breakfast was good as one could do with muesli and eggs. Overall, I found food at this place tasteless and exorbitantly priced. None of the speed dial lines work on the phone. The lobby doesn’t look like a hotel lobby, but more of an office building with narrow doors and very small reception area. They share the building with other offices, so there are weapon wielding security guards all over. The top restaurant and pool look very nice and have great views of the city. If your room is on the top floor, that could also provide great views of the city. Sagar - rooms coordinator was very helpful and did assist in check in and also getting a few prints from the office. As someone who stays in hotels regularly, I can say that hospitality is something that they are very far from. Hope the hotels trains their staff once again on the basics.
Cannot say enough good things about the staff. Everything was well Coordinated, from initial driver pickup from the airport, to check-in, check out and in between. The gym staff also deserve a special mention; very friendly! It's nice to get the opportunity to get a workout in while away, and having dedicated staff ensure I wasn't slacking in my training while away! Thanks again to all. I will be back!
Initially, we had booked a room at the tower, but we were upgraded to the suites just nearby. Although the suites may not have any views at all, I would suggest to go for the suites if the option is there. The room is much more spacious there with a separate working area, seating area, a small pantry and a larger bathroom than you would get at the tower. You can enjoy all of the facilities at the tower as well. Just call your GSA and they will arrange a car for your to and from the tower
I stayed at this hotel on April 2019. The booking process was very smooth and easy. Appreciate the cleanliness of the room. other facilities like check-in and check-out process, food, staff behavior were also great. Hope to have another stay.
Had a hangover with friends at Oasis Lounge recently. We took buy one get one free pizza offer. Their pizza selection is very good. A superb ambience for hangouts with friends. Their coffee selection is good as well.
The best place for couple dinner at THE BEAST, their fine dine restaurant perched at 26th floor. The steaks were perfectly cooked. Me and my husband enjoyed our time over there. Previously we had dinner Buffet on last month at their Eatery restaurant (24th floor) which was a good experience as well. Hotel staffs are very friendly.
It is conveniently located near Gulshan and very good service and efficient staff. Overall a good value for money and recommended for business trips for meetings within the city. Saves time on road due to the bad traffic in Dhaka.
We have stayed at the Four Points on two separate occasions. Originally, a few months after they opened the first building (now known as 'The Residence' and used primarily by long-term guests) and more recently, earlier this month. We also stayed at The Residence location (which is a quieter location) rather than the Tower, which is situated right on Gulshan-2 roundabout and is, therefore, considerably busier. If you choose to stay at The Residence you may wish to go for breakfast at the Tower (which all guests who have breakfast included are entitled to do), as this has a larger selection. The rooms in both buildings are generally well laid-out and the decor is good, although not in the same league as say a five-star luxury hotel in more frequented tourist destinations in Asia, such as Thailand, India or Hong Kong etc. Also, the hotel shows its age in places although it is kept to a generally good level of maintenance. I expect with more competition in the hotel industry in Dhaka in the next few years (both Hilton and Hyatt are building new properties as well as the newly opened Intercontinental) a refurbishment should be in order very soon. However, the thing that really makes this hotel stand out for us, to the extent that we returned after having stayed for a few days at a plusher new hotel, is the exemplary and professional service. We were very pleasantly surprised to find that the service had come leaps and bounds since our last visit in 2014 and is now on par with some of the best hotels we have stayed in worldwide (having stayed at some of the finest properties around Asia and Europe). The staff, from our front desk at the Residence to the restaurant staff at the Eatery in the Tower were always extremely professional and helpful and are an asset not only to the hotel itself but to the wider hotel industry in Dhaka. Other hotels in Dhaka could do much worse than come and see true world-class professional service in action at the Four Points. Of course, we can only speak to our own personal experience, and in this regard alone, viz. the service, we won't hesitate to consider the Four Points when we return to Dhaka.
Price should be around 125 USD . Price is higher compared to similar property . Breakfast ( presentation and Verities ) was good . Staffs were cooperative and cordial. Reception / Lobby can be improved and mode more spacious . Safety aspects should be reviewed as recent fire accidents in Dhaka were deadly .
my room was flooded during rain, and the manager was charging me extra. I am platinum Marriott customer and expecting better service. Make sure tell the manager who you are and be careful that will try to charge you double
