Lovely weekend exploring Detroit

We visited Detroit for a weekend getaway with friends, and the Blue House easily accommodated our group of 6 adults and an infant. The house was well decorated, spotless, and very comfortable and we enjoyed slow mornings drinking coffee, games and meals at the large dining table, and easy access to downtown Detroit. John and Inna were lovely hosts and very responsive. Thank you both for hosting us!

Nice Easy and Comfy

I had a good stay at the lil blue house very nice clean. My inly compliant is tht they need to add Tv’s to the bedrooms nd tht there is no washer and dryer. Out side of these two things nd the surrounding area being a lil on the ruff side its a Great stay.

Detroit Blue House - worth the stay

First, the hosts Inna and Jon are lovely, conscientious owners who have transformed an older home in an established Detroit neighborhood into a comfy AND stunning place to stay while visiting the City. Inna and Jon have covered every little detail that make a stay away from home memorable and comfortable. The interior design is stunning. The beds and linens are super comfortable…and they’ve provided an array of things to do with your time in the house (when you return from your D town activities). A variety of books, games, and ample (again, comfortable!) seating and tables throughout…truly…a great home away from home experience. The kitchen is beautifully stocked for those who stay longer and want to prepare meals. Thank you for a wonderful experience, Inna and Jon! Stephanie & co.

Great stay!

Was in Detroit for a couple days and couldn’t have been happier with this place. Only about 10 min drive from downtown, neighborhood was quite. House was clean! Hosts were available when we had questions. It was as described. Great stay!

Not very happy with our selection.

My daughter reserved the Home for her household and my household to connect while traveling from different parts of Texas. Both she & I were coming to spend time with family who reside in Michigan. It was communicated upon arrival that I had grown up in the Detroit area yet hadn't visited in six years. My brother and favorite cousin took the time to travel to us and as we brainstormed to pick an appropriate dining locating my husband was met by Jon and told we were gathering and it was not permissible. NEVER will I ever consider booking through them again, I find it very unreasonable that my two near & dear relatives that were considerate enough to travel to see us were even aware of an issue.

Lovely place!

Our group loved our stay here! Beautiful space, comfortable beds, and very accommodating and kind hosts. Would recommend trying to bring your party in two cars so you can park all cars in the driveway, as the street parking is on a busy road and a wee bit dangerous. Home and neighborhood were otherwise exactly as described and overall we had a lovely stay. Beautif place!

We really enjoyed our stay! The hosts were so kind. The place is secure, clean, homely, and comfortable. We were a party of 8 and everyone was comfortable! Highly recommend!

Great place!

Jon & Inna were so friendly and accommodating! Even though the area was a bit run down, this gem of a place never felt unsafe with two sets of doors with a code. The interior was beautifully decorated and had all the essentials we needed for our stay! Everything was spotless!

Close to Eastown and Tiger stadium

Nice big table for Dinner and Brunch. TV easy to use, we played Jackbox games with our group. Loved the vintage feel of the house, beautiful Mirror over the fireplace original to the house. Parking accommodating. Store close by. While the neighborhood is upcoming, felt much safer than when I stayed in Baltimore. The home owners very nice and easy to talk to if anything was needed.

Fantastic hosts, perfect house

We loved staying in Jon and Inna’s Blu House. They were super friendly and clearly have put a lot of work into making an inviting and tasteful home away from home for visitors. I would recommend 100%.

Great time.

Very clean and comfortable home. House had everything we needed towels, linen, kitchenware, etc. Owner was kind and reliable. Neighborhood isn't as quiet as you would like. Had trouble with key lock a few times during visit. Listing says it sleeps 8 but comfortably you can only sleep 6. Owner fixed all issues we had during stay immediately. Location very close to downtown central detroit. Me and my family had a great stay overall.

Exactly what we needed

This home is beautifully decorated, clean, and well maintained. We felt safe and secure and slept well in the comfortable beds. There are special touches throughout and a large dining table for family meals. We came to town to celebrate our grandson’s first birthday and their home could not accommodate all of us. This location was perfect and it was a beautiful space to relax at the end of the day. Our hosts were helpful and available immediately when we had difficulty with the lock and checked in to be sure we had everything we needed yet we had full privacy. We had safe, off street parking which we also appreciated. We will definitely book again when we visit Detroit! The city has so much to offer and we look forward to when we can enjoy it all again (with no pandemic!).
