Hotels on the River in St. James

"My wife and I just returned home last week after a wonderful 10 days at Club Barbados. It is an older property but we found the buildings and grounds to be well maintained. Room was always clean and comfortable. Staff was, with very few exceptions, friendly and attentive. Location is great. Shopping across the street and more within walking distance. Easy access to bus and taxi. There is no beach on the resort. You walk down stairs into the water. Sandy lane beach is an easy 10 or 15 steps through knee deep water. Never saw more than 5 or 6 people on that lovely beach. Holetown Beach is a 10 minute walk. Snorkeling at the resort is great. Food is very good. Not much variety in entertainment. Maybe due to off season. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much and would highly recommend!"

"Had a wonderful stay with my wife at the Palms. It was very cozy, safe, well-maintained and made me feel right at home. The staff was very friendly and provided exceptional service. We did have a minor issue with the AC leaking water. In addition, there could have been more amenities in the room i.e. shampoo. Overall though, really enjoyed our stay there and we would definitely run it back again!"
