Hotels on the Lake in Costa Rica

"The hotel and grounds were excellent. Cleanliness was great as well the staff in the restaurant and bar were also wonderful. The staff in the reception could use some client service training. Some of them were a bit rude and did not provide all of the details of the property when we first checked in. We were expecting to feel welcome and have someone greeting us with some enthusiasm and energy and instead we felt like we were bothering her when we first checked in. Just a reminder for some customer service training for the reception staff. "

"When we arrived, we thought the first entrance was the main access; and there wasn’t a clear sign to tell us to drive further to the second entrance which is the main door to the parking lot. The property was conveniently located in the heart of the city a few minutes from the airport and a gas station. There are also several car rentals near. It’s a very clean and safe area. The staff was friendly and helpful. The one thing we would wanted differently was the breakfast offering. It was plentiful and many different options; no complaint there. However, one morning we had an early start and wanted to take the breakfast to-go and we told that was not allowed. We ended up walking with a cup coffee and pastry. We didn’t think it would have been any issue. Otherwise, excellent place. "
