Cap Juluca, A Belmond Hotel, Anguilla
"To get started this place is absolutely beautiful for our honeymoon. This is really meant for couples where it’s calmer, peaceful, and relaxing. If you’re looking for something more upbeat and party scene go to St. Martins. The bad: our AC went out the very first night and we got moved at 12am in the morning. Luckily they were nice enough to refund for one night and move us to another room (but not an upgrade). The room itself was nice but it was the little things for us like the toilet paper holder wasn’t attached properly and fell each time. Our phone didn’t work when we wanted to call room service or any of the buttons. We had dial 0 but they didn’t tell us that until I asked in person. Don’t get the mokes just rent a car which is $60 bucks rather than 200+ for a day so don’t fall for those colorful cars. The great: beach is absolutely gorgeous. The service is absolutely friendly and amazing. Our villa host Kera was great. The food was so authentic and delicious. Anything you get was so good and that’s for all restaurants there! The “free” events they hosted were really fun and def should participate like the fishing, rum tasting, wine tasting, yoga, and so much more. I gave it a 4/5 because I’ve been to many 5 star hotels/resorts and I think because of those hiccups at the start of our stay it just ruined our honeymoon and generally I don’t ever have high expectations but I did for them. I hope if we ever go back that our stay can be a 5 out of 5."
