We loved the house, the location, and the maintenace crew were timely and friendly. I would recommend, oiling the living room leather chairs facing the TV. Everytime someone sat in the chair, the chairs made an aweful, loud sqeeky sound. Also, the room with the bunkbeds, which I loved, particularly, the full beds. The top bunk the light on the wall needs to be replaced. The bathroom on the first floor maintenance looked at the faucet, as there was no hot water, and the water was barely coming out. None of these were deal breakers, just minor items, but I figured you would want to be aware and address it. Thank you for an enjoyable stay. Oh, and loved the pool!

Wonderful property!

Our stay at this property was amazing! Loved that the property was very clean and safe! Located in a gated community with a pool! 10 minute walk to the beach! Lots of activities for the whole family located near by!

Overall good stay

The property is beautiful and spacious. My husband and I took my younger cousins to Destin and we loved that everyone was able to have their own bed/space. Pool is large and hot tub was great. Starter kit for dishwasher pods, laundry, shampoo/conditioner/bar soap were definitely a plus. Overall it was a good stay, however, I will say for the price I did not expect broken blinds, broken fridge shelf, a non-functional ice maker in freezer, slow responding property management, and a leaky kitchen sink (took almost a full business day for them to fix.) Also be sure to count pool bracelets as we had 1 missing on day 1 (they charge $25 if you don’t have all 12 at check out.)

This home was beautiful. It looked just as it did in the photographs. It had everything you needed.

The beds were clean and comfortable. The place was emaculaant Everything you needed was made available to you. My grandbabies loved the bunk beds. The only thing that was missing for me was a desk to do a little work. But who needs to be working on vacation! We will book again very soon!

My family loved the home, the pool was awesome! Short distance to the beach, trolley was very useful, would have liked for them to make runs later than 4:30, but they were prompt and helpful.

Nice place for families

Property was very nice. Neighborhood was very family friendly. The night time pool scene is a bit overwhelming we went 2 nights we were there and shortly left due to the over crowding and very loud music which made me appreciate this house being one street over. Overall great property only negative thing that happened was we were not provided a gate code (and the gate was broken when we arrived) however it was fixed about day 2 of our trip. We texted the property manager in the evening and received an acknowledgement of our text but no gate code until the next morning. So we haf to figure out a way around the gate.

Affordable*Proximity*Updated

This property was affordable, close proximity to everything we needed, and very nicely updated. The beach shuttle was the most impressive feature of this rental. Reliable and friendly driver who always answered! There are truly only STARTING essentials… there are no extra paper towels, only 1 additional roll of TP per bathroom, and two trash bags for the kitchen. No coffee, coffee filters, or spices for food left behind. Bare bones other than the space itself which is absolutely beautiful and spacious, more room even than the pictures show! Communication was great via text with property management. They did not respond to VRBO messages nor email. We also had an issue with the door code and various capitalizations for the Wi-Fi I mentioned to property management. Overall it was a great stay and I would use this rental again.

Great Stay!

The home was very clean and beautiful. Location was great! We had an issue with the washing machine but someone was able to come take a look at it within a few hours of us calling. No issue with it after, we just washed small loads. We would definitely stay again.

Great Location, Poor Communication

The neighborhood was wonderful and the house was perfect for our needs. Our only complaints that make it 4/5 stars…washer had sitting water in it and was moldy, cabinet doors in the bathrooms were loose and falling off and we only had 10/12 bracelets for the pool and tried to contact the managers to let them know but never received a response back. Otherwise, we had a great time and would definitely stay here again!

Great for families

My family had a wonderful vacation staying at the Barracuda House. The check-in process was very easy and the house looked great. The downstairs is open and all the bedrooms are nice. The pool is wonderful and is great for little ones with the tanning area. It was never crowded which was nice as well. The house is not far from the beach, but with two little ones under 2 and all the things in tow we would drive and park at the beach which was very easy and there was always a spot. We never attempted to walk it or take the Sandy Express though we did see it run frequently. Only thing that could be changed to make the house perfect is the couches and chairs downstairs and the couch upstairs. They’re all stained pretty badly to where we had to throw blankets over them so we didn’t have to think about what the stains were. Otherwise we had a very enjoyable time and made lots of happy memories.

Overall Solid

The neighborhood was great and the property itself was good with enough parking for 3 cars. I understand that check-in isn't until 4 pm, however when we got there early, it seemed the person cleaning the house was just enjoying some time with their family at the house, while they cleaned. The faucet in the downstairs bathroom didn't work and the adult beds upstairs weren't great. I did like the open concept downstairs and there was more than enough room to eat and relax. I didn't like that we were given bracelets for the pool that if not returned were $25/per bracelet, it felt like a money grab. Grill was solid, the stove took some learning, but again overall very solid. Would probably go back.
